Energy

Feel the heat on my bare flesh

Bass trembles at my feet

As they leave the ground and I fly,

Fly up to the crowd

Bodies claw at my tethers

Cheers, screams, flying fists

Aching for more, moshing for less

As the lyrics are screamed in harmony

And we sway

The volume drops down

As the lighters fly up

Silencing the microphone hums

And I become part of this city

A city of a million flames

A sudden symbol crashing

Sends us flying back

Limbs afire, chests aflame

My three fingers rise in honor

And we jump for freedom

My feet find the ground

And astonished is my face

Bloodied is my nose

And inked is my brain

Never to forget this night
