Hey, guys, I'm baack! Wow, two updates in a day--aren't I getting good at this? Well, anyways, I have officially written something serious. Weird, right? Back on topic--this was written at exactly four minutes past five on a night when I hadn't gotten any sleep. Forgive the stupidity. Thank you!
This is basically just the thoughts of a god on a mortal that he has happened to fall for--nothing big.

She was human, a fragile, weak creature that defied him. She was a woman who loved her family and yet could hold a grudge forever. Should someone stand in her way, she would not back down, even in the worst of times. She had stayed with her friends and refused to leave anyone behind.
She was annoying, always fussing over the smallest things. Continuously asking him for favors. Daring to argue with him when he could so easily kill her. She insisted upon following him, always being such an inconvenience! She always had to put her word in, even when it wasn’t wanted or needed, and it had gotten her into trouble more than once.
She was insignificant by comparison, a mere peasant who should have been bowing her head in respect instead of treating him as her equal. He had taken her in to make her useful cooking or cleaning—and she had refused, instead telling him to do it himself! She had dared to defy his authority, shouting to him that he shouldn’t bother ordering her about. Because she didn’t take orders from anyone.
She was fragile, always managing to hurt herself during the day. Every bump and bruise showed on her pale skin, giving the sense that she was abused. All the scars from battles she had participated in remained. Yet she insisted on traveling with him, gaining bruises, cuts, innumerable injuries… not to mention getting sick. Humans. So weak.
She was brave to the point of stupidity, standing up to anything that was in her way, and making him come to her rescue more than once. She thought nothing of pain and fought to the end, insisting that it wasn’t a true fight unless she was part of it. The day he had met her, she had spoken with a sharp tongue, knowing fully well who he was and where he ranked. And she didn’t show a trace of fear.
She was gentle, careful not to harm anyone or anything around her if they didn’t deserve it. Even keeping those who deserved punishment safe. If she harmed a friend, she scolded herself. Maybe that was why she had stayed alone for so long. Out of fear of hurting those around her.
She was selfless, never putting herself first. She had been fatally injured yet insisted on helping all her comrades first. And what had anyone given back? Nothing. But she didn’t complain. She just went on with her work, nearly collapsing from exhaustion when she was finished.
She was beautiful, never trying to be but somehow managing anyways. Always catching the eyes of men. Always catching his eye. She stood out in a crowd without trying to, being the only one who seemed to have sanity at times. Just by comparing her to other women did he realize that she was, by far, one of the most significant mortals in his life.
She was intoxicating, the way she said his name so it rolled off her tongue like honey. The way that she could merely be in his presence and wake his senses. The rush of exhilaration he got from her that one night… and the next… and the next. He had to face it: he couldn’t keep himself away.
She was pitiful, the way that she cried when he had gone into battle and left her. How she had lost everything and still smiled. Because nobody could see it but him. Hell, he even hurt sometimes because she was so alone! But… she had him. And her sister. And their daughter. So she wasn’t really all that alone… was she?
She was a constant worry, always in the back of his mind. Making him fight hard to protect his lands… the lands that she was living on. Making him reassure himself time and time again that she was well protected and in good hands. Then that one mental image dwelling on the edge of his mind. Her broken body lying on the ground, making him hurry home to her and reassure himself that she was safe.
She was human, an insignificant speck—
And he was beginning to realize that she was his one and only.
