Sparkles

Wandering into the shadow, I look for even a sparkle. Everything seems to vanish behind the veil of the day. But there’s neither day nor night: it’s a dull day, coloured with sadness. Yes sadness itself. The things we did with enthusiasm look now usual and even the food seem tasteless. And it doesn’t look weird, doesn’t look up side down: everybody continues working, acting as if nothing had changed. But I know each of us hope in his heart. And we have to keep on hoping those things will return back to normal otherwise we can’t live any more.

Surrounded by this darkness I walk alone down the streets of the city, and it’s as if I fell happy. In the park, flowers and trees seem to regain life, slowly. It’s just a sparkle of life in this dead city. And I know that if they turn leaves and petals in the air, towards something high, that means the light is coming back again even if we can’t see the sun yet. It’s just a sparkle of light in our sad life.

But I know I’m not the only one who cares, because that’s so important for us. Even if that’s just a sparkle of hope…
