Black Painted Mannequins

Will twenty five million

Have to fall for the lies

Before anyone stands up

Look at the mannequins

Face paint and nail polish

A new coat can’t hide chipped wood

And your not fooling anybody

So you run, you hide

You cry and scream

But nobody is listening

No, nobody’s listening

Army of clones

March to the beat

Of dirty pirates

Talk of love and hate

With nothing but fame

To draw on for your words

How did this happen?

Whose to blame for the mass dupe

The lies and politics

Behind tears and confusion

Clap, clap

Time to wake up

Time to break formation

The day’s not green

And the romance is

All in your head, no chemicals involved

Sunday’s ours, can’t take it back

Confessionals on a dashboard

Won’t buy you life

From the first to the last

You all look the same to me

So let it all fade away

You will as well in time

So no more mannequin marches

No more tears

Life hurts us all

Wise up, and find some joy

Sulking in your makeup

Won’t bring you peace

Peace of mind isn’t found

Behind mascara and a mask

So come on mannequin army

Your all the same

In the name of being different

I’m not afraid

You’ll fade away

But then again

Isn’t that what you want?
