I sit, and I wait
Until time is convenient
For you,
Yet I wonder
Is there anything
That’s inconvenient for you,
Something more than just a man

I wonder, I worry
I cry, and I hurt
All of these emotions,
Aching and blinding
With things I can’t comprehend
Binding with passions’ furry

As much as I’d wait for you
To snap you fingers
I don’t want to feel pain
Love isn’t supposed to be so hard
But, still
I’d sit, and I’d wait
For a convenience in time

I will wait
For you
To come to me
(and hold onto hope)
That you won’t forget why you tell me
Why you love me so

Would you dare
If I were to ask
If you could be me, for only a minute
Could you place yourself where I am
And sit and wait
Until time was convenient for you
