I thought

You would love me forever

I thought

We’d be together

‘Till the stars

Crumbled

And the earth

Stumbled

I thought

I would always love you.

I thought

We could see this through

Till the world

Stood still

And the clouds began to spin

I think

Perhaps I was wrong.

Perhaps

Forever is not as long

As I once thought.

And I feel as if the clouds are spinning

In an endless circle

Around a frozen world.

I think

Perhaps,

I no longer love you

Perhaps

The stars have stumbled

And the earth

Has crumbled.

That forever has ended.
