Emotional Mortality

-

She hasn't slept these past few years,

Because of thoughts for you…

And for each dream she starved pursuit

I've been the one to rue.

-

She's stuck between the doors of time,

As every path was wrong…

You were the one to lead her there,

Hoping it wouldn't take long.

-

How could you waste her precious life-

That now, alas, is gone?

Trapped… simply breathing isn't living…

A beautiful face turned wan.

-

Did you think you could get away-

With your slaughter act?

Murder isn't always real…

Just emotionally makes it fact.
