That night, strange dreams had I
skipping on the roofs of dandelion orbs,
taking in their scents as the the heavens spun above;
Their spheres too, were glittering,
singing of the lost love
they had yet to have found.

Sharing teacups with a barn house squirrel
all cozy in her apron and dress,
she would mouth the words, but no sound came out
as she shooed me out of her nest.
The stars above, they continued to twinkle,
and laugh with all their mirth,
I think I fell in love that day,
but with whom?
I've never found out.
