Happy Endings

The haunting, taunting breath of a cool winter night;
Within the chasms of my mind, a lone candle stands.
Its flames of warm sensation burning ever so bright,
Such a scene, such a wonder, which my heart demands.

The crisp, vibrant leaves of thy moonlight rose.
An empty chair, an empty vision, of sanity forlorn.
Emotions swept as mother nature's storm blows,
Starving for revelation, my mind is reborn.

Dance, dance why thieverous silhouettes of yore!
Whisk thee away in your broad arms of memory.
For your task is complete, in my being you are bore.
I, counting and counting this endless sequence of reverie.

Don't wake up, never wake up to faulty reality,
Your image and dreams, love and wonder eternally blending.
Conquered my mind and focus, please I hope this will be,
Start me on the path to my own happy ending
