Another World
My friend lives in a different world,

One around which her mind is curled.

She lives in a city named after Alaira,

The hero who slew the deadly Chimera.

My friend lives in a land with horrors here and there,

But these are just shadows, no danger anywhere.

She’s rid the land of some ghastly ghouls,

But still she avoids the Oracle’s pools.

My friend lives in a wonderful city

Where magic illusions are reality,

But beyond this village, one may find

The truths revealed, the ties that bind.

My friend lives in an ivory tower

And rules her kingdom with absolute power.

She raises the land and parts the seas

And flies the skies on a southern breeze.

My friend lives in an ever-changing room

Whose bright, cheerful colors dispel the dark gloom.

The colors keep changing, distracting her mind,

Every color of the rainbow, all entwined.

My friend lives in her very own mind

Because of circumstances none too kind.

She fought against darkness only to find

That the dreadful disease had left her blind.

A/N: I wasn't sure how to put breaks into the poem, so I just underlined the last line in each stanza.
