It was a cold rainy day in the middle of the summer. I used my bat wings to try to protect myself from the rain.
Where are my manners? My name is Kazun (pronounced Ka Zune) Mory Draco. As you have probably already guessed, I’m not exactly human. I look human except for the details that seem to count. You see I have two black bat wings (a little redundant, but they are), gray eyes, and silver spiked hair. I own two swords. One called Muna, the other Flame. (Muna has two blades that can slash. Flame has two points, one right below the other.) Not exactly normal, but then I don’t really have a defination of normal to go by. I’m a sword for hire by the way.
You see I come from a planet called Altros. Nice planet actually. Filled with forests and cities. I was currently walking towards the inn I was staying at. The reason I was walking and not running is quite simple. I actually like the rain. My clothes (a ragged tunic and breeches) were pretty soaked. I figure I should point something out. I look like I’m fifteen but I’m actually twenty. So in general people look down on me.
When I got to the inn, (named Poke) I walked to my room and lay on the bed thinking. I had received a letter earlier that day. It told me to come to the castle in town at nine o’clock the next night. I didn’t trust the letter but I had nothing better to do so I decided to walk to the castle tomorrow. In the meantime I decided to think about my life in general. This lasted for about a minute before I took out a gray flask from my pocket. I opened it and drink the crimson contents. I felt a tiny jolt of my body then I laid back down and thought some more. Not about myself but about this one person I met not to long ago.
She had platinum hair, black eyes, and had a beautiful body. She was also intelligent, more than I was anyway. She was also a dark elf. She carried a staff with her as she walked. I wasn’t looking where I was going and I bumped into her. She said, “I’m sorry.”
I asked, “What’s your name?”
She answered, “You may call me Silvina, or Sil for short.” She walked away before I could ask any more questions.
