I Pray

I pray to our father

Before an exam

In my head

I hope he hears

And blesses me

I pray to our father

Before a long journey

With my family

We know he hears

And blesses us

I pray to our father

When I’m in need

By my bed

On my knees

And wait for the blessings

I pray to our father

Before I go to bed

The lights are off

And no one hears

And he blesses me

We pray to our father

In Sunday school

Arms folded

Heads bent

Waiting for the blessings

When hope is gone

And friends disappeared

And you don’t know what to do

Pray to the father

For he hears all.
