There's something you need to know
Something you need to hear
It was you I chose all those years ago
And it's you I'd choose still
I'd walk on broken glass to get back to you
Even when I should never want to see you again
Where's the sense in that
I'm asking you because I know that you know how it feels
It's not like this because I want it to be
In fact it's not the way I want it at all
But this is how it is
It's your face I want to see
Your voice I want to hear
And your touch I need to feel again
I've been trying to fight this for a while
But it's not doing any good
In fact it's only making me want you more
I don't know why
It makes no sense at all
No one else has an answer
And I remember you saying once you had them all
And more often that not you did
At least you did when it came to us
To whatever us there was
I've been trying to fight this for a while
But it's not doing any good
In fact it's only making me want you more
I don't know why
It makes no sense at all
I made up my mind
I tried to tell you
But now I realize you wouldn't have believed me anyway
I'm telling you now
This has to stop & you have to know
It makes no sense
That I know
But somehow it's you I've chosen
