Temporary insanity
A lapse into what used to be
Could you forgive me if I were to fall again?
It's trite, I know
But I need to know
It isn't planned, but I think "What if…"
Morbid nights
And lonely lights
Spark and inspire painful thoughts
What we were
What I know for sure
It's nothing, where we're both concerned
New thoughts
Old thoughts
With nothing left by my colder dreams
You screamed
And it seemed
Like I could never afford to slip again
I need
If I bleed
Could you promise me to stay?
Not planned
Just dreamed
And in nightmares you leave
