Just to Live is Evil

To Love is to Evolve

Yet we still question;

What should we do?

By Anon

The Road to Hell

by fabian cortez

Once upon a time

I was considered charming,

Well spoken & someone

With a mercurial charm,

And I watched

-

Not so now

-

I see you all about me

Judging at my own behest,

For I know you will, each

On a personal road

To hell, my straight razor

Caressing gently the

Palm of my hand

Without words, my eyes

Invite your torment

My actions deliberately

Seek your attentive

Jibes

-

I see as always

Beneath your painted

Estimation of

Worthiness, how bold

A surface, yet surface

It is, I wonder, why

Am I reticent?

To know your thoughts,

So shallow, yet to know

A soul is more than

Drawn out images

Presented

A woman torn apart

Inside, may act to

Destroy herself, in sight

Of others, yet is she

Not a woman?

O hell she knows

Make no mistake

-

A man who knows no

Dignity, with all the

Lovers he has left

Asunder, is considered

Nothing because of

Such acts, is he not a man?

Their soul’s so tortured,

Yet hidden in bravado,

Are nights

Of hidden tears,

So covetous of peace

That eludes them,

As kept snapshots

Of each anguish left

Behind, rises up

In vengeance

-

Perhaps it’s help they

Need, to set their self

Destructive minds

Straight, yet what

Of those that first

Set these poor souls

On the road

To hell,

Who helped

Them?

-

I consider it all

As I calmly accept

Your sour evaluation

O bitter tongues

Each & every one

I know my seed

Of decent is

Sown, as

Arguments ensue,

A sweaty palm clasping

Well its’ soon to

Be used treasure

How little people

Know me, yet I know

Well each one

Of

You
