The Baby Trade Part 3

--

What happened in Part 2: Amy and Chris met Ayla in the Desert. Later, they meet up with Chen Law-Kyomora, the leader of the resistance against America. Agents Florence and Normandy link up with Agent Venice, husband of Ayla Venice and head for Egypt. There they join the American and Russian Forces attacking Cairo. The Fugitives manage to evade capture and death thanks to Ayako’s modified B-52 and a little aid from Amy’s Shaman Powers.

Somewhere over the Red Sea

“You know, they say Moses led the Israelites through the Read Sea to escape their Egyptian pursuers.” Said Chris. “How’d he do that?” asked Ayla. “God gave him the power to make a path through the sea so they can cross it.” He replied. When the Egyptians tried to follow they were all drowned.”

“Sounds like what happened with us just now.” Ayako replied. “Funny thing is our destination is in another place talked about in the Old Testament: Mount Sinai.” ETA in 2 minutes.” Said Mark Anthony. “I’ve heard much about Sinai,” said Ayla. “It can only be visited by those who have already been there.”

When the plane touched down, the Rebel Army was there to greet them. “General Hale reporting, ma’am.” Said the uniform who greeted them. “It does me good to see you made it here in one piece.”

“Let’s just say we had divine protection.” Ayako replied with a smile. “These are some friends I met in Egypt: Ayla Venice of Mexico and Amy and Chris Reid of The United States. They are fugitives from The Government and need rest for a time.”

“Understood.” He replied before gesturing to the motorcade behind him. “They’ll be taken somewhere safe.” “What about you?” Asked Ayla. “Before we landed I noticed we were being followed.” She told the General. “Find out who they are and report back to me when you know.” “Will do.” He said before getting on the plane with Mark Anthony and a few soldiers. It taxied onto the runway and flew away.

“As for me, I think my girls are ready to meet the world.” Ayako said before falling to her knees. “You might not be the only one,” Ayla replied. They were all ushered into a van and were driven to the nearest field hospital. Under heavy security. There, three children were about to be born…

Somewhere on the base…

“That went well,” Said Agent Venice as he took off his parachute. “It’s a good thing that bird can be piloted remotely. By the time they find out it’ll be too late already!” “Come on, let’s go.” Said Normandy as he loaded a fresh clip into his M-16.

“Wait—where’s Agent Florence?” asked Venice suddenly. “She must’ve gone ahead,” Said Normandy very calmly. “She’s a big girl and she can take care of herself.” “Well, if you say so.” Venice replied as the pair walked through the Rebel stronghold.

The two wandered the streets of Sinai in search of their bounty. Every now and then they had to take out any rebel soldiers unfortunate enough to cross them. When they reached the Airstrip the learned through “Interrogation” that Ayako and Ayla had gone into labor and were at the field hospital a few blocks away.

“Something tells me this could get messy, and I don’t mean the births.” Said Venice. “For once we agree on something, Agent.” Said Normandy when they had visual of the target building. “Let’s find Florence and—“

”And what?” said a voice. That was all the two heard before getting hit from behind. “I’m sorry Normandy but I cannot allow you to interfere.” Said Field Agent Florence after her partner was out cold. “My daughter and I have some catching up to do…”

Inside the Field Hospital…

“Congratulations, it’s a boy.” Said the attending doctor. “What a day to have a baby.” Ayla said as she held her newborn son. “The first of my family born into freedom. I think I’ll name him Cassius Clay Venice.” “Wait—your husband was spotted on the base!” The doctor exclaimed. “That can’t be right.” She said.

“Sorry, but he’s right.” Said Chris as he came into the room. “He and an American Agent were found lying unconscious outside.” “Where are they?” Ayla asked. “They’re being held under heavy security in a room on the top floor, Chris replied. “Ayako is on her way up to see them. “Didn’t she just have twins four hours ago?” She asked him.

“That injection I gave you restores strength after childbirth.” Said the doctor. “She’s not feeling a thing.” “Where’s Amy?” “Ayla asked. “Right here.” Said a voice. Chris and Ayla looked in the hallway and saw Amy and a woman dressed in Government clothes in the elevator. “Security!” Ayla exclaimed. Several soldiers came running immediately.

“There’s another Agent in the hospital.” Said Chris. “She’s holding my wife hostage and is going upstairs. Stop her!” “Understood.” Said the group leader before heading for the stairs. “We’ll have the babies moved to a secure location.” Said a doctor. “I’ll help,” Said Chris as he turned to go.

Somewhere on the Top Floor…

“What the fuck was that?” Asked Agent Normandy as he came to. He reached for his aching head but quickly discovered that was impossible, for he was tied down tight. “I see you’re awake.” Said a voice coming from the right. He turned and was looking at the Rebel Leader, Ayako Kyomora.

“Don’t struggle—those straps are organic.” She continued. “You must’ve been full of shit to think you can get in Sinai undetected. I admit I’m impressed, though—the trail of bodies leading here led us right to you.” “Ayako, we’ve got a situation.” Said Ayla as she burst into the room. “There’s another agent in here and she’s got Amy.”

“What?!” she exclaimed. “Where did she go?” “She holed up on the roof in a standoff with security.” Ayla replied. “I see,” Said Ayako with a sigh. “Agent Florence, I presume.” Said Normandy. “I would strongly advise you untie me and surrender. If not, I’ll be forced to do so by force.”

“I’d like to see that.” Said Ayako. Right then, Normandy tore off his binds as if they were made of paper and jumped out of bed. After freeing Agent Venice he turned to face the women but they had gone. “Know what, I’m so sorry…” Said Venice as he looked at Normandy nervously. “Agent Charles Venice, you’re fired.” Normandy said before kicking him out of the window to the pavement below.

On The Roof

“Give it up, Agent!” Said General Hale. “We have you surrounded!” Surrender Amy and your life will be spared!” When Florence didn’t respond, Hale knew it was time to put some lives on the line. He signaled for some men to move in. Holding Amy over her shoulder with one arm, Florence unsheathed a Katana with the other.

When they opened fire she deflected every single bullet until they’d run out. She strafed the roof as she cut down each man with one blow. Her hostage had no effect on her accurate and deadly killing strokes.

“It’s like fighting a machine or something!” Hale exclaimed in frustration. “Hang on General, I’m here.” Said Ayako as she got off the Elevator with Ayla. “So, finally you have come out!” Said Agent Florence. “It’s been a long time, Chen Law-Kyomora.”

“Who are you?!” Ayako exclaimed as she unsheathed her Katana. “And how do you know my name?” “To America I’m known as Field Agent Florence Law,” She started. “To you and everyone on this base I was, am and always will be Ayako Kyomora!”

“Mom!” Chen exclaimed. “We thought you were dead!” “That was the point.” She said as she threw Amy at General Hale, who caught her. “I was captured by the French sent to an Iraqi Prison. There I was given my freedom in exchange for a job as a Field Agent. I knew it was my best chance at finding you again.” “I’m so glad you’re safe.” Said Chen as she lowered he blade.

“I wouldn’t do that!” Said Ayako as she suddenly lunged forward. Chen barely managed to parry the attack. “What are you doing?!” She exclaimed. At that moment, Agent Normandy blew through the ground in front of them. In his hands were two infants.

“I’m afraid our meeting is not on friendly terms,” Said Ayako. “While serving America I was able to hone my skills as a swordfighter. During that time I knew that one day I would face you in a duel. Today is not that day, however. The next time you and I meet, be prepared to face your mother in a fight to the death. If not, I will kill you.”

She rose into the air with Agent Normandy and they flew away. “What was that about?” Asked Ayla. “I think it’s time I refined my skills with the sword.” Chen replied. “Wait—the children!” “Consider yourself lucky I hated my job, Ayla.” Said a badly bruised Agent Venice as he climbed onto the roof. “Damn, that was rough…”

“Weren’t you kicked out of a window?” asked General Hale. “You should be dead about now.” “Forget it.” He replied. “That Normandy is one crazy motherfucker. Help me get some payback and I’ll erase your records.”

“And we should trust you why?” Asked Chen. “For one, Chris is a secret agent working for America.” Venice replied. “His job was to keep tabs on Amy and make off with the kid as soon as she had it.” “He said he was going to help get the kids to safety.” Said Ayla with concern. “They’re…gone…” Said Amy as she came to. “Chris is gone, too. I have seen it.”

Everyone went downstairs to survey the damage. The entire maternity ward was stained with the blood of its residents and hospital security. “Would you believe one man did this?” said the only surviving doctor. “I’m sorry, Ayako…” “I’m Chen!” She exclaimed. “I see…” he replied. “Where are my daughters?” she asked. “I managed to hide one of the twins before he opened fire.” The doctor said as he gave her the sleeping child.

“One day, I will reunite you with your sister.” Said Chen as she looked at the moon, the same name as her missing daughter.

And so ends the story! What a surprise ending! Of course, you’re wondering how Venice survived that kind of a fall, among other things. I may do a follow up depending on how things go along with a prequel after that. Who knows…
