He kissed her goodnight and went to counting some sheep.
With blankets wraped tight he lay in his chair.
She watched him that night, running fingers thrue his hair.
Warm and content he dreamt of his love.
She watched him all night, like an angel from above.
A loud noise rang in his ear's one he could not take.
With sand in his eyes it force him to wake.
She had awoken him, least he be late.
And he wrote this for her, as thanks to his loving mate.
