Fool's Gold
by LittleSter

My soul is given like gold.
Small fragments line the empty path of
an emote counterfeit life.

I am not the larcenist,
the bandit, pirate or thief.
Have I stolen anything of value?
I doubt your sleeve shows the truth.

One crate you may have found,
was full of worthless fortune.
Ploys to throw your heart off,
when you finally broke the lock.

Never to find the distorted map,
deep beneath my skin.
