What I would give to look upon the face
Of the one who sacrificed himself
Is nothing less than my very own life,
For did he not exchange his own for mine?
The very thought of it is amazing,
To give yourself for a complete stranger,
For someone so unworthy of your grace;
To give yourself for a sinner like me,
Is a gift of which I am not worthy.
But because of you, I’m able to live.
In my end, I shall sit at your right hand,
Known forever as a Child of the LORD.
It’s a gift that none have ever given,
For only you make dead men come alive.
It is why I serve you and none other,
And shall remain, until the end of time.
