There was a sudden warmth around him, and one by one he began to regain his senses. First, he felt the hard ground against his back, then heard the sound of moving water and singing birds around him. It was almost as if it was spring...
“Hey...” A soft voice called. It was so sweet... it must have been death... “Mister, are you okay?”
A light nudge is what finally woke him up. Slowly, he opened his eyes, focusing them on the beautiful figure looking down at him. With the lovely face, and the light of the sun burning behind him, he really thought he was in heaven. “...Are you an angel?” He muttered, still slowly emerging from his sleep.
The figure, which he was soon able to make out as a boy as his eyes adjusted, laughed softly and smiled down at him. “I was just about to ask you the same thing...” The boy carefully plucked off a white feather from his white shirt and held it up. It was the only trace left of the magnificent wings that once sprung out from his back...
Carefully, he sat up, looking around at his surroundings. At first he didn't understand why he wasn't burning in the sun, but then remembered the blood he drank. He had been laying on his back on some rocks beside the flowing river. Everything around him was green and in bloom. There was dense forest on one side of the river, and open green farmland on the other. He turned and looked back over at the boy, getting a better look at him.
He was small, build almost like a woman, fair and had a warm look on his face. His skin was flawless, like a baby's, and his shoulders thin and feminine. His hair was long and blond, more golden than Yuki's, but his eyes were blue and innocent just like his. He wore his hair in a braid that went all the way down to his hips, with bangs.
“Who are you?” He asked after a good stare. He couldn't help it; he was a beautiful boy after all...
He smiled simply and warmly at him. “My name's Abel.”
'Cain and Abel... What are the odds?' He thought to himself. “Adrian...”
“I'm pleased to meet you Adrian. Now, are you okay?” Abel tilted his head at him curiously.
It took him a moment as he recalled what had happened to him. He remembered the fight with Cain... drinking his blood.... the wings... getting stabbed... then finally, falling towards the ground. That was it, he didn't know what happened after that, only that he was alive. He looked down at his abdomen, placing a hand over the wound. It had all ready began to heal, but it was still bleeding... It felt so numb, he didn't even realize it was there. “I'm not sure...”
“It's okay... let me help you.” Abel moved closer to him and placed his hands on the wound. “Just relax.” He said then closed his eyes. His hands began to glow, the wound beginning to heal rapidly. Once he was finished he opened his eyes again, panting. It clearly wiped him out.
Adrian stared at him in surprise. He obviously had some special gift... but what was he? “How did you do that?”
“It's a power I have... I don't know what I am or how I have it, but I do.” Abel smiled then stood up. “Can you stand?” He held out his hand for him.
Adrian ignored the hand, knowing that the boy wouldn't be able to help him up. He slowly rose to his feet, wincing and stumbling as he put weight on his left leg.
Abel quickly caught him and wrapped the man's leg arm around himself, supporting him. “It looks like the river washed you here... You must have hit your leg on a rock or something as you were drifting... I'd heal that too, but I have to wait for my powers to recover first...”
Adrian leaned some of his weight on the boy, lifting up his bad leg as they slowly began to walk through to grassy fields. “Where am I?”
“I'm not so sure myself... I came to this village centuries ago... and when I first saw it, it was horrible. No crops would grow... people were starving and dying everyday... Parents even had to sell their children off in order to feed themselves...” Abel muttered sadly.
'Now I remember... This is the village that Vincent was from... His parents sold him off as a servant to the castle...' Adrian frowned slightly as they passed a flock of sheep and neared the town. “So you used your powers and this was the result?”
“Yes. Exactly.” Abel smiled up at him. “The people call me a saint, or a prophet, but I don't like to think myself as one.”
'He can't be human... he looks too young to be hundreds of years old...' Adrian thought to himself.
Several villagers stopped as they worked and stared at the stranger. They never been anywhere near the castle so it was no wonder they didn't recognize him as the lord of it. These people must've been isolated from the outside world... They looked as if they were stuck somewhere in the past...
Abel greeted each of them until they reached a hut, bushing away the curtain of beads as he helped the man inside and over to the bed. “Here... get some rest. You look like you've been through a lot... Do you remember anything?”
“No...” Adrian lied. He didn't want to bring up his horrible defeat, and how terrible of a person he was. He thought that Abel would fear him if he only knew...
“Well, maybe you will when you wake up.” Abel smiled and bowed to him. “I'll be back later to check on you. For now I have to tend to my flock.” By flock he meant the sheep outside grazing. He must have been a shepherd as well as a healer.
Adrian nodded and laid back on the bed, closing his eyes. He stirred in and out of sleep as the hours went by. Villagers poked their heads in and out of the hut, taking amongst themselves, some leaving welcoming gifts.
Finally, Adrian emerged from his bed after they were all gone, limping over to the other side of the hut. He grabbed a cane that one of the villagers had left for him and used it to support himself. He made his way outside and into the fields. He was hoping to find Vincent's grave somewhere. With luck he found a small cemetery on the side of a dirt road and carefully looked around at each engraving.
A small, simple stone grave, worn away by time, with the name, 'Vincent,' etched in it, caught his attention. He didn't know Vincent's last name, and there was no last name written on the grave, but still he had a feeling that it was him. “I guess I won't be joining your for a while more...”
He felt the boy's presence as he approached him from behind. Abel looked down at Vincent's grave then up at Adrian. “Who was he...?”
“He took care of me when my mother died and my father was too busy to care...” Adrian placed his hand on the grave. 'Yeah... it's his all right... I can feel it...'
“I see... so you were close...” Abel looked at him sadly before he wrapped his thin arms around Adrian, hugging his arm. “I'm sorry.”
Adrian looked down at him, a little confused then turned his attention back to the grave. “Very close...” He looked down at the ground silently for a moment. “It's funny; I never told anyone that.”
“Sometimes it helps soothe the pain if you share it with others.” Abel closed his eyes. “I had an older brother once... I only remember him only vaguely... His name was Cain, but I have no idea where he is or if he's even alive.”
Adrian's blood froze in his veins. 'Can't be...'
“I never told anyone that either.” Abel smiled up at him. “So now we're even?”
“Yeah... We're even.” 'It just can't be...' Adrian forced a smile. 'I don't believe it...'
The silver-haired vampire laid on his back on the grass, looking mesmerized at the sun, which until now had been off-limits to him. He had to get used to sleeping at night and working during the day, two entirely new things to him. Luckily, Abel allowed him to help out tending the sheep, which was a relatively simple job.
He closed his eyes, listening to the noises of the sheep and the sounds of the birds and felt truly relaxed for the first time in his whole life. 'I think I'm finally in peace...' He thought to himself and opened his eyes. He watched Abel playing with the young sheep, looking carefree as usual. 'I never thought I'd get another chance... but it seems that I'll be able to enjoy life this time... No more pain or death... just this and him...'
Abel carried a baby sheep over to Adrian and placed it on the man's chest. He giggled when the sheep baad in Adrian's face then got up and trotted away. Adrian chuckled as well and shook his head. “I'm glad to see you're smiling now.” The boy sat beside him.
“Are you?” Adrian grinned.
“I am.” Abel laid back beside him in the grass, stretching cutely. For the past few days, the two had been inseparable. The boy was so outgoing and kind that Adrian trusted him entirely. Still, he decided not to tell him who he really was, out of fear of being rejected or forced to leave.
'If he and Cain are truly related... they're very different from one another... Abel much softer, more innocent, and loving... I guess that would make Abel a complete opposite of me.' Adrian watched the boy silently. He enjoyed everything about Abel... is appearance, his personality, and his spirit.
A yellow butterfly fluttering above landed on Adrian's nose briefly, spreading its wings before it flew off. The vampire blinked a bit as the boy chuckled softly. Abel rose to his feet and looked down at Adrian. As the man began to sit up, he was playfully pushed down by Abel who then giggled and ran off through the grass.
Adrian grinned and got up, chasing after him. With his leg fully healed, he enjoyed running freely once more. He chased Abel down the grassy hills and caught up to him under a large tree. The boy let out a small yelp as he was grabbed from behind and giggled.
He turned around in the man's arms and pulled him down to the ground on top of him, landing on the grass. He laughed, as Adrian pinched his cheeks and stretched them out. “Ow!” He squirmed, but continued laughing until his cheeks were released. “That hurt.” He rubbed his now red cheeks, sticking out his tongue at him.
“Sorry.” Adrian grinned and rolled off him, laying on his back again.
Abel laid back as well, sighing happily. “This may sound selfish, but I'm glad you washed up here...”
Adrian shook his head. “It's not selfish... and I'm glad as well. I wouldn't mind staying forever...”
The boy smiled brightly. “Then stay forever!”
“I should tell you something first...” Adrian frowned. “I'm not human...”
Abel shifted, plucking a small flower from the ground, eying it. “Yeah, I figured judging by how well your wounds healed... What are you anyway?”
“Well... I'm a vampire.”
“Really? But I thought you die in the sun?” The boy plucked off each petal as he looked at Adrian.
“Normally, yes, but its one of my unique abilities to survive in the sun...” 'Thanks to Cain's blood...' The man looked up at the blue sky.
“That's so cool!” The boy beamed. Always so innocent. He thought a moment then tilted his head at him. “Wait, does that mean you drink blood?”
Adrian sighed. “Yes, I do.”
Abel blinked curiously and was silent for several moments. “If you drink blood from me, will I turn into a vampire?”
He shook his head. “Not if I make you my source... I could take a safe amount of blood from you at a time if you were willing to volunteer...” He never considered having a source before... He used to think that keeping one was a sign of weakness, but if it meant surviving and being with Abel, he'd do just about anything now...
“Then you have my permission.” The boy smiled at him. “Are you hungry?”
“N-no!” Adrian answered quickly and looked away. He could hold out for another day or so. The thought of biting into the boy's soft neck and hearing him cry was painful to him instead of gratifying as it once was. It was the first time in years that he didn't want to hurt someone...
The boy seemed to sense his concern and looked at him warmly. He was completely convinced that Adrian was a good man. He didn't even suspect anything of his past, violent nature. Abel smiled and wrapped his arms around his neck, resting his head on his chest cutely.
Adrian looked down at him, blinking for a moment before he smiled back. Bones, flesh, and nature wasn't the only things Abel could head, he could also heal hearts. He rested his chin on the boy's head and closed his eyes. Maybe he really did die; maybe this is what heaven was like... Maybe he was reborn into this new way of life. He opened his eyes again and stared at Abel. He moved his hand behind the boy's head and pulled him closer, kissing him on the lips.
Abel's eyes widened momentarily then slowly closed as he moaned faintly. It felt nice to be kissed, but he wasn't used to it. He felt Adrian move on top of him and blushed as he deepened the kiss. He hesitantly kissed him back, blushing brightly. He honestly didn't mind going beyond friendship with Adrian, he was handsome after all.
Adrian was glad that Abel didn't push him away, and slowly pushed his tongue into the boy's mouth daringly. Amazing, there was little resistance, and the boy granted him access, shyly brushing his tongue against the vampire's. For a vampire, he sure didn't taste like blood.
The vampire broke the kiss and looked down at Abel. They were in the middle of the field... and no one was around... It seemed safe enough, he decided then moved his hands up the boy's shirt, winning a shiver and a gasp.
Abel shuddered slightly as the vampire kissed down his neck, though not biting him. He blushed, holding onto Adrian, wrapping his legs around him. He would let him do whatever he wanted; that's how much he trusted him. “I love you.” He smiled and nuzzled against the man.
Love? Love? Love him? It seemed almost impossible. Adrian kissed him again then muttered against his lips. “I love you too.” At that moment he realized, he never said those words before. They seemed so strange and new to him, but right no less. Besides, who couldn't love Abel?
He began to kiss down the boy's chest, moving down to his nipples. He flicked his tongue against them before nipping them gently. He still didn't want to hurt Abel. He heard a moan from the boy as he moved his hot mouth over his nipples.
The boy whimpered slightly, not because it hurt, but because he was easily aroused, as Adrian could begin to feel against his leg. He let out a loud moan as the man rubbed his knee playfully against his groin. “A-Adrian...”
“Will you let me?” Adrian looked into his eyes.
Abel knew what he meant and blushed, nodding. “H-here?”
“I don't think anyone will see.” Adrian licked the boy's soft, pink lips eagerly.
The boy opened his mouth and licked his tongue playfully before kissing him again. He shrugged himself out of his shirt and laid back again, brushing his fingers through Adrian's beautiful white hair.
Adrian slid down Abel's pants and underwear, spreading his legs. He hand moved down the boy's lower belly, taking his arousal in his hand and fondling it. The boy moaned and arched up into his hand, now fully erect. The vampire grinned and stroked him, drawing out Abel's pleasure. This time, he wanted both of them to enjoy it, not just receive pleasure without giving any in return.
Bucking up into Adrian's hand, Abel moaned and held onto Adrian's head. It felt so new and good to him, he didn't know how to react at first. His whole body shook with delight as the man's large hands worked his arousal then squeezed his legs around Adrian's waist as he felt a sudden jolt of pleasure rise inside of him. “Ahhn!” He gasped suddenly, as a sensation coursed through his body and he hit orgasm. He released into the vampire's hand and whimpered, feeling embarrassed. “I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to...”
“It's okay...” Adrian chuckled. “It doesn't bother me... Plus, I can use it for lubricant.” When the blond boy gave him a confused look, he moved his slick fingers down, in between his legs and slowly pushed one inside of his entrance.
“Oh!” Abel blushed and tensed on reflex at the sudden intrusion.
Adrian nuzzled against the boy's neck, nibbling on his earlobe. “Relax so that I don't hurt you...”
“O-okay...” Abel closed his eyes, focusing on relaxing his lower muscles. He told himself that this was Adrian, and that Adrian would never hurt him. To him, he was still gentle, calm, and loving Adrian. He would never have dreamed of his horrible past. It truly was as if he was a whole new person.
Slowly, Adrian added the second finger, rubbing the boy's own cum around inside of him so that he wouldn't hurt him later. The boy whimpered faintly, then coached himself into relaxation so that the man could slide in the third. He gradually began to thrust them in and out until Abel began to gasp and moan, the pleasure beginning to overcome the pain. He whimpered again when Adrian removed his fingers, not wanting the feeling to end.
Adrian licked his fingers, seductively, still some essence of his old self remained. He stripped himself bare then lifted up the boy's legs. He looked down into his beautiful blue eyes. “Are you ready?”
The boy looked up at him, eyes slitted in a sort of daze. He blushed brightly and nodded. “Y-yes...” He moved his arms down to Adrian's neck, wrapping them around him. He kissed him on the lips and closed his eyes in anticipation. He wasn't sure what to expect, but Adrian looked big and he had never done this before.
Adrian kissed him back and slowly pushed his cock inside of him. He felt the boy grip his shoulders tightly and winced as Abel cried out, breaking the kiss. The pain was inevitable, but Adrian still felt bad. He hated causing Abel harm, even if he let him.
Abel closed his eyes tighter and bit his bottom lip to keep himself from crying out again. He was glad Adrian had stretched him out. If he hadn't, it would've hurt so much more. He was thankful that he didn't tare.
The vampire waited for the boy to adjust before he slowly pulled out half way, thrusting back in carefully. The boy clung to him for dear life, waiting for the pain to subside. Adrian rested his head against his shoulder, groaning faintly. The boy felt so good inside, even better since his entrance was nice and moist from his own cum.
Abel spread his legs wider and moaned. Like before, it was starting to feel good. “Adrian...” He bucked his hips experimentally and moaned again. He then began to move along with him, holding onto him tightly. “Ahhh!”
Adrian thrusted into him harder and faster when he heard the boy below him. A feeling of relief washed over him knowing that Abel was enjoying himself too, rather than withering in pain. He realized that this was the first time he ever made love to anyone before.
The boy suddenly clamped his legs around Adrian's waist and moaned loudly, bucking up harder to meet every thrust. “Adrian! Ahhh! Ahh!” He felt the vampire hit something deep inside of him that made him see stars. They were lucky that none from the village was around to hear how loud he was.
The vampire groaned and lifted up Abel's hips in order to get deeper inside of him. The boy tossed his head back in ecstasy, while trying to keep up with Adrian's speed. “Ohhh!” He cried out loudly in pleasure as he felt his second orgasm hit him like a storm. “Adrian!” He spilt between the two of them, blushing and panting.
Adrian could feel the boy's lower muscles constrict around his cock as the boy came. He shoved into him several more times, groaning and gripping the boy's hips until he erupted inside of him. Worn out, he collapsed on top of the boy, panting.
Even though he too was out of breath, Abel kissed the vampire deeply, holding him closer. Adrian immediately pushed his tongue into his mouth, kissing him back. The boy broke the kiss, catching his breath before he spoke. “I love you...” He smiled and nuzzled him.
“I love you too...” Adrian nuzzled him back, slowly pulling himself out of the boy's now wet entrance, laying beside him. He lazily grabbed his coat and pulled it over the two of them, not wanting to go back just yet.
Abel cuddled up to Adrian's chest cutely and closed his eyes. “You'll stay here right?”
“Of course.” The vampire wrapped an arm around him. “Forever.”
“I'm glad...” The boy muttered tiredly before he fell to sleep. They stayed there like that until sunset, then made their way back to the hut, getting some proper rest. The two of them would truly live in peace for years to come. Two immortals living the simple life, free from their pasts...
The group of vampires walked together down the street. There was a blond, a brunette, a one with long silver hair, and a one with long raven hair. The blond, who was the youngest, had asked the oldest vampire to turn him into a vampire so that they could always be together. The oldest agreed, not wanting to loose him either.
The blond enjoyed the warmth of the sunlight along with the others, for the oldest allowed them to drink from his blood. Life seemed to be looking up for the youngest. He even got to keep his blue eyes after the transformation, not receiving the common side-effect like so many others. The only thing different about him were his fangs and the tiny slits inside his eyes.
The dark haired vampire watched the other ones, smiling, joking to each other, and laughing. They were the only things that mattered now... He didn't have to fight anymore and worry about losing one of them. He continued walking, looking up at the sun through his tainted glasses and smiled faintly.
On the other side of the sidewalk, a couple walked together, traveling in the opposite direction of the four vampires. One was a handsome man in all white, with white hair and green eyes. The other was a boy with long blond hair and blue eyes. They held hands as they walked and passed the group undetected.
As they passed him, the oldest vampire thought he caught a glimpse of them from the corner of his eye. He stopped and turned around, blinking, but the two were gone. He stared off into space in amazement. “...?”
The couple appeared on a roof above. Adrian crossed his arms over his chest and frowned. “He's doing well...”
Abel giggled and smiled. “I'm glad you took me to see him... but... do you think I should confront him?”
“No... I doubt he'd know how to react... Besides, we're two ghosts he'd probably want to forget...” Adrian watched from above. 'I don't think either of us want to worry about anything for the rest of our lives...' “You've earned yourself an easy life...”
“Cain!” The blond called to him. “What's wrong?”
Cain turned back to Yuki, smiling faintly. “Oh... nothing... I thought I saw something...”
Yuki took his arm. “Saw what?”
“Just some ghosts...” Cain looked down at him and grinned faintly then continued walking with him, wrapping his arm around his waist. He looked up towards the roof, lowering his sun glasses briefly before he smirked and turned around.

I really liked this chapter personally. I think Abel is such a cute innocent uke and was really what Adrian needed to set his life straight. I wanted to give this a happy ending since I put my heart and long hours into writing it. I love all of the characters (well major characters) and I feel bad for having to kill off Sakano and Yuki's brother (it was necessary!). I really didn't want to kill of Adrian since I liked him too much, and I decided to give him most of this chapter to screw his new uke! Mwahaha!
Well, thank you all for reading this! It's getting late and I have to get some sleep soon so I should submit this right away. I'll go back and proofread tomorrow and edit. Reviews are of course loved and I will hopefully been writing some more yaoi filled stories real soon! I'm getting ideas all the time after all!
So good bye for now!
Love,
Muraki
