A brilliant mind

A smiling face

This beautiful angel

Thinks he's fallen from grace

He feels so empty

He feels no love

But he receives so much

From God above

He speaks so freely

Straight from his heart

But he shuts everyone out

Before love can start

He shows his affection

With a gentle touch

Hugs, kisses, caresses,

He gives so much

He comforts others

In their times of need

And he loves so true

Without knowledge of his deeds

He gives and gives

Whether he's away or at home

But as he watches the world go by

He feels so alone

As she watches this man

Who seems so sad

She wonders what could have happened

What could have been so bad?

He seems so happy

Most of the time

But every once in a while

He begins to unwind

She comforts him

And makes him see

How beautiful life

Can truly be

But a wounded angel

Is not so easily healed

When his heart is broken

And his mind is sealed

So comfort this angel

With the smiling face

And show him love

Until his sorrow is erased
