READ THE AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END!! :D
IOIOIOI
To Jamie, the last few weeks of the holidays had been heaven. He spent almost every waking moment with Alex, and they were closer than ever. He wished that the holidays could last forever.
Alas, they couldn’t. And that’s how Jamie and Alex found themselves standing outside the front gate of Greylands Senior High. (a/n. lol greylands)
“Well… this is my school.” Jamie said, reluctant to enter. Alex leant an elbow on Jamie’s shoulder.
“I’m supposed to go to Mrs Maple’s office, show me where it is?” Alex asked, convincing smile on his face. Jamie nodded and led them both through the school and down a corridor, stopping in front of a large green door.
“Well I’ll guess I’ll see you later. Meet me in front of the gate?” Alex asked. Jamie nodded and turned to leave before he was engulfed in a large hug from behind.
“Have a good day okay?” Alex whispered in his ear before releasing him. Jamie turned around but Alex was already heading inside the office. Shrugging, Jamie went off towards Contact.

“This looks right, just sit down anywhere.” Mr Lee said before handing back Alex’s timetable. Alex nodded and turned to the class, sitting down in an empty chair in the back corner. Nobody seemed to have noticed he was there except for a pale girl sitting in the corner. Alex smiled kindly to her, but she just frowned, quickly turning away back to the large book sitting in front of her face.
“Don’t worry about her, she’s not very social.” A voice said from across, and Alex turned to see a pair of dark eyes surrounded by a thick layer of eyeliner. Alex jumped back slightly in surprise, taking in the girl. She had golden blonde hair with braids of various colours and lairy hairclips strung throughout. A pair of sunglasses with purple lenses sat atop her head. Her large red lips were wrapped around a set of bright white teeth, giving off a bright friendly smile. It seemed as if she had crammed almost all her accessories on the available space not taken up by the school uniform (navy blue shirt and jeans). All up, she looked like an extremely eccentric art teacher. (an. Yes that’s a real uniform, it’s the same as mine. Navy blue shirt with collar and any pair of jeans, and no the girl isn’t supposed to look gorgeous, more like a pretty eccentric ;D )
“New kid?” she asked, leaning her elbows on Alex’s desk and resting her chin on her hands.
“Yep. Moved here a couple months ago.” Alex replied, swinging back on his chair. The girl nodded, looking like a quirky psychiatrist.
“I’m Breena. It means fairy palace in Irish.” She said, sticking a hand out. Alex grinned, clasping her hand in his own.
“Alex. I’m not sure what it means.” He replied.
“Helper and defender of mankind. It’s Greek.” She said, grinning widely. Alex nodded bemusedly. Spying the loose timetable on the desk, Breena quickly snatched it up.
“Hey, you have three classes with me. Excellent, this means I can show you around!” she said happily as the siren went, marking the end of contact.
“Er… thanks Breena. Right now I need to know the way to my Chemistry class.” Alex said, grabbing his timetable back from the girl.
“Oh it’s this way, I’ll take you.” She said, clasping onto his arm and leading him down a hallway.

Jamie sat in his Physics class, staring out the window and tapping his pen absent-mindedly.
“Jamie!” a voice said firmly from beside him. He turned to see Kayla looking at him stubbornly.
“Sorry Kayla. We have work studies next, and I’m not looking forward to it.” He replied, resting his head on his arms. Kayla looked at him sympathetically, placing a hand on his back.
“Maybe you’ll be lucky and Brandon will be away today.” She said. Jamie sighed and looked back out the window.
Kayla had been Jamie’s science partner since year 8 (see a/n) and, while they’d never been close, Kayla was one of the few people Jamie would call a friend.
“Well stop moping, if we don’t get this started it won’t be done on time and I’ll fail and it will be all your fault!”
Almost.
Sighing, Jamie pulled out his workbook and started, wishing the day was already over.
IOIOIOI
IMPORTANT: Let’s assume that Jamie’s science class was second period okay? So basically, up next we are at the end of third period just about to head to recess. :D

Jamie stood up as soon as the siren went, practically running out the door towards his locker. His pathway was cut off however when a large form recognisable as Brandon moved into his way.
“I didn’t think you’d come back, but it appears the little bitch has some balls after all.” He said cockily. Taking a deep breath, Jamie glared at Brandon with all his might and pushed his way past. He managed to get a few steps ahead until Brandon grabbed the back of his shirt.
“I’d watch myself if I were you Reed, or I’ll do to you what you did to Rhys.” Brandon said softly into Jamie’s ear, before roughly pushing him forward. Jamie crashed to his knees as Brandon walked away. He didn’t seem to notice however, he was too busy staring at the floor. Rhys. It wasn’t my fault. He may have sat there all day if someone hadn’t caught his attention.
“Jamie!” A voice called. Shaking himself out of it, Jamie stood up and turned around to see Alex approaching, a strange looking girl next to him, clutching at his right arm. Jealous feelings arose immediately to his mind before Jamie squashed them down. This was Alex! He had nothing to worry about. So giving a grin, he approached the two, subconsciously narrowing his eyes at the strange girl. Alex smiled knowingly, shaking Breena off his arm and grabbing Jamie’s hand, holding it in his own.
“Breena, this is Jamie my boyfriend. Jamie this is Breena.” Alex said, pointing to each respective person. Jamie nodded towards the girl while Breena’s eyes widened. Jamie was about to smirk and the ignorant girl when suddenly her grin widened.
“Ah Jamie! Alex’s told me so much about you! I was so surprised. You guys have only been going out for like a month, and he already knows more about you than I do, and I’ve been going to the same school as you for five years!” she burst out, stepping forward and engulfing Jamie in a hug. Jamie smiled bemusedly over the girls’ shoulder as Alex suppressed his laughter.
“Erm… no offence but do I know you?” Jamie said nervously. Breena let go of him and stepped back, grin still on her face.
“We were English partners for a week in year 8. I looked a bit different then, you probably don’t recognise me. I have a photographic memory see, so I remember you. You used to have the ugliest haircut, it looks much better now.” Breena said very fast. Alex chuckled as Jamie pouted.
“Come on, I’m hungry let’s get some eats.” Alex said.
“Well what are we waiting for? To the lockers!” Breena said dramatically, linking both arms with the boys’ and dragging them to the locker room to grab their food.
IOIOIOI
Jamie and Alex strolled side by side down the road, bags swinging with every step.
“I must admit, I was quite worried when you and Breena showed up, arms linked.” Jamie said. Alex laughed.
“So was I when I first met her. That was until I saw her with everyone else. I swear that girl is like a physical leech never stops talking.” He replied. Suddenly out of nowhere Alex punched Jamie hard in the arm.
“Hey! What the hell was that for?!” exclaimed Jamie, rubbing his now red arm.
“That was for that tackle in sport.” Alex said with a grin. The boys had been playing football (AFL) in PE and, unfortunately for Alex, Jamie had been playing since he was seven.
“Don’t have a sad just because I’m better than you.” Jamie said, poking his tongue out childishly. The two continued down the road until they came to a stop in front of Jamie’s house. They walked to the door where Jamie pulled out his keys.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, kay?” he said, grinning. Alex didn’t answer, just pulling Jamie in for a kiss. As their lips touched, the door opened to reveal Jill. The boys froze, slowly turning towards Jamie’s mother.
“Well well well, what do we have here?” she said, raising an eyebrow. The boys leant back and Alex nervously ran a hand through his hair.
“Erm, I just… I think I can hear my mum calling. I’ll see you tomorrow Jamie.” He said quickly before tearing down the pathway down towards his house.
“Traitor.” Jamie whispered beneath his breath before turning back to the tall woman standing in the door way.

THANKYOU to BreathingFlames, FelixVonPheonix, Prisoner-11, Taemanaku and Mourning Sickness!! Your comments really do inspire me to write more, with a BIG special thanks to Prisoner-11 whose been reading right from the start!! Thanks so much!
Here in Aus we have year 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, but I think in america they have weird names, stuff like ‘freshman’, ‘senior’ and… I don’t know. But basically yr 8 is the start of high school, yr 12 is the end. (Also btw we graduate in the year we turn 17, not 18 like some other places I think :D hope you’re not too confused
Important Note: okay the boys’ Monday timetables go like this:
Alex...Jamie
Chemistry ...Maths
Art ...Physics
Maths ...Work studies
History ...History
Phys Ed ...Phys Ed
English ...English
These are the subjects they’ll be taking every day, just sometimes in different order. They both have the same history, sport (PE) and English classes. Breena is in Alex’s science, art and Maths class, while Kayla is in Jamie’s Maths, Science and Work Studies class.
Hope that’s clear, if not just ask me a question in a review and I’ll try to answer it next chapter. :D Thanks for reading, your comments really help me write, so please drop a review. :D
