Love, Harmony, and Friendship, Forevermore

She was sitting alone
Under the old willow tree
Sadly, Silently, Staring
At a small object in her hands

Unaware of the world around her,
And the people walking buy
Brought her back to the memories
Of the night she lost her pride

The night was grey
As she meet up with her love
Holding a precious gift
They walked down a moonlight road
Laughing and talking, the night away
Not noticing, the headlights ahead.
Her love pushed her away,
From the dangerous road
But leaving no time to save himself

Memories of the solemn faces
Of family and friends,
Flashed through her mind
Standing there on that dreary day
They said he’d be remembered
By family and friends,
As they watched him
Be lowered into a dark, empty pit

She sat there watching, holding a ring
It had two silver hands, holding a heart
Floating on two silver angel wings
A symbol of love, harmony and friendship, forevermore
The words of her love haunted her mind
Was the reason for the gift.
To symbolize the love and friendship
They promised they’d always share

She sat there alone
Under the old willow tree
When a young child wonder why
She was crying over a ring
A symbol of love, Harmony, and Friendship, Forevermore
Was her only reply.
