They are sitting but you do not see them thinking,

For surely they must,

What else will they do?

Within the walls of their dirty heads,

They have seen more than you or I,

And if you sit and hear them,

They will show that they know more as well,

On the filthy streets they call home,

They meet so many,

They learn so much,

They do not needs books for where they are going,

God never sent away a blind man,

So do not believe they are lazy for the sake of,

They are simply weak from the lack of,

Do not stick up your nose and turn away,

Your books did not gain your place there,

Possibly the parents that raised you,

Might have made more informed decisions,

Than the parents of the waifs in the gutters,

But God will have them soon,

There is only faith when everything else has left you,

So forgive them and be kind,

You will see them again,

When your time comes too,

And if you do not,

You did not heed the words I write
