If only we could lie here,

And wait forever,

Until eternity comes,

Until the light from your cigarette dies,

I want to die here,

Under this tree,

In your arms...waiting,

What we're waiting for, I don't know,

But we're doing it together,

We'll sit in the sun,

We'll sit in the moon under the stars,

Maybe we'll sit in the rain and the snow too,

As long as you're with me- I can wait forever,

I never want your hand to leave mine,

I never want this feeling to end,

Just kiss me sweet and assure me,

That you'll never leave,

And if your inner prosperity dies,

Take mine with you too,

So we can be together and wait forever,

Wait for forever to come
