It started as a ditty teasing my dad for the popcorn he had on his shirt, but then it transformed into this.

Popcorn Man
Here comes the popcorn man
Rolling along with his vending stand
He's got some popcorn to pop
He makes sure it's buttered and hot
With the food he sells, happiness he gives
Even to those who are poor, he helps them live
It may seem simple but it means so much
When life is so trying and can be so rough
With his stand he wanders the town
Always singing with nary a frown
Hhe makes people smile whenever he can
He can only do so much, since he's a man
Going about singing traditional songs
Doing what's right in a world gone wrong
Every day he travels around the city
Dealing with a side of life more gritty
He does what he can to share a smile
To give others meaning and time that's worthwhile.
