No Rest

No rest

No break,

No change of routine

Day in,

Night out,

“I’m with friends,

They’re a great bunch.

You know where I am.”

Yeah right.

No food.

No money for food

“I’ll get a take-out”

Waiting.

Waiting..

Waiting…

Tears flow,

“Where are you?”

“When are you coming home?”

“Don’t leave me”

“please.”

Always out

Like clockwork

Come back drunk,

Swaying,

Singing,

Laughing,

Joking,

You see my face

Crying.

The pain,

Of fear,

Of hunger,

Of loneliness,

Of hatred…

“Never again

It won’t happen,

I swear.”

Lies.

Conceited.

Again.

Same routine.

Day in,

Night out.

It never changes.

I get

No rest.

I’m sorry – I’m majorly, majorly, majorly pissed off right now, and I decided to write this. It’s directed at a couple of people – one whom I’m really… not that fond of. Sorry for my language. Had to get the poem out. Review if you want, I don’t mind either way to be perfectly honest.
