Faulty Words!

Words were shattered and broken,
In one cheating embrace.
A vow we had once spoken,
On the day of lover's bliss.
Two heart's devotion,
In god's holy eyes,
Voicing their ardent desires,
To live together forever,
In happiness.

But an oath so sacred,
Bound by man, woman and god,
Was forsaken,
When the man's eyes fell on another,
And discarding all vows,
Betrayed his lover.

No word he then had spoken,
To his love, he realized he still loved,
Could heal the wounds painfully inflicted,
And earn her forgivness-

Because his words were already broken!
