Time

Again, another Pink Floyd song title. I wrote this when I first made my foolish attempt to have busy schedule. It didn’t work so well. This is one of the few poems I have that doesn’t rhyme.

I don’t have the time

Just take my money

I need time for myself

Jaws still closing in on me

Slave of my schedule

Slave makes the best of me

Free and I can’t compete

My soul is beginning to bleed

The slave has beaten me

A hollow shell has won

Because I had time to think then

My “life” is done

My torn soul has escaped

It remembers well being raped

My soul will heal itself from the fall

Once healed It will rise above and rule all
