The one I thought I'd lost.

I'm back in touch

with one closer than kin.

I was scared;

I thought she'd turned her back.

I was wrong-

for once I'm proud of that.

Strength comes back

I gather close my hope.

Life returns

as friends help me relearn

forgotten

long lost feelings of self.

I love them-

those who've been here with me

those who came

and helped me to my feet.
