There was a second side to you
A side few knew
I'm not proud to say I knew it too
But if doing what you're doing now
Is keeping you away from what you were into then
I say keep it up
They might not know you anymore
But that's better than the you I knew you to be
There was nothing you wouldn't do
Even when you were down & out
You still couldn't get enough
Always wanted more
And yet somehow I was called the whore
Anyhow it's over now
For your sake I hope that side to you is too
Always looking for a quick fix
Desperate to find a new way
To get a handle on the way your life was
They all thought it was so great
They thought you had it all
The rock 'n' roll lifestyle
That there was nothing you couldn't want more
If only it could've been that simple
There was nothing you wouldn't do
Even when you were down & out
You still couldn't get enough
Always wanted more
And yet somehow I was called the whore
Anyhow it's over now
For your sake I hope that side to you is too
I hope you're doing better
That you've gotten everything straightened out
And that you're finally on the right track
And have healed from all of the pain you caused yourself
And those who meant so much to you
Anyhow it's over now
And for your sake I hope that other side to you is too
