Smile while you kill me, dear
For we both know it's my fault
It was I that cut us open
And rubbed our wounds with salt

Smile while you kiss me, dear
For we both know it's our last
So drink me in and kiss me
With a passion unsurpassed

Smile while you hold me, dear
For we're both wrapped in embrace
The last time this will happen
Before I fall out of grace

Smile while you drop me, dear
For we both know how I'll land
Broken here and left alone
Unable now to stand

Smile while you hate me, dear
For we both know I'm to blame
I'm the one to ruin this
And bring upon this shame

Smile while you love me, dear
For we both know you didn't choose
We couldn't help but build up
What we're both about to lose
