Traveling on a pathway deep into the darkest night
The stars failed to twinkle it seemed
The moon too had no glow
As dark clouds shrouded them

Traveling on a pathway deep into the darkest night
One all alone I ventured onward
Taking one so slow step, then another
As dark clouds wrapped their arms about me

Traveling on a pathway deep into the darkest night
There was no turning back
Distant mountains with heights unclimbed lured me forward
As dark clouds lingered

Traveling on a pathway deep into the darkest night
So unexpectedly I found myself no longer alone
A Stranger came onto me, offering a golden rose
As dark clouds held us silently while into deepest night we ventured.
