When the words are written and feelings are finally expressed, how do you feel? Are you happy with what you were able to create? Or is there sadness? Do you feel disappointed in yourself because you know that no matter how hard you tried and despite the words you used, you couldn’t quite capture the beauty of the portrait?

Almost
Time tests the patience of even the greatest of men. But here you are, a mere boy waiting for something. Perhaps you look for salvation or even everlasting happiness. There is no need to search for beauty, for you have tasted its bitterness and have seen that it sleeps within the eyes of her portrait.

And though no one told me where to go
…………..Hope led me to the entrance where I bowed before my weakness
Her eyes held my under

A/N: I don't really know how I feel about this story. I started out trying to write an essay and then this just popped out. I know for certain that this is not my best story but still, I love it nonetheless. Also, the poem at the end is my own, though it is not my best, it holds a special place in my heart. I think it fits well with the story, especially for something I wrote on the spot.
