One: I’m Rooming With HER!?
“So this is Tokyo U? Ah!”
The straw-blond haired girl was pushed to the ground as a group of seniors forced their way past her. Picking up her glasses, she readjusted them and placed them where they belonged. “How rude,” she muttered to herself. “But what can I do?”
Words from her best friend in Hokkaido reached her mind. Don’t let your self be stepped upon by others Yumi-san, he had told her sternly, step up to the plate and tell them whose boss! Yumi nodded to herself and stood up after collecting her books and papers.
“That’s right! No longer will I, Kimidori Yumi, be pushed around by anyone anymore!” she announced with her hand held high. Of course, she just ruined the opportunity to make any new friends. Those surrounding her had already written her down in their books as a weirdo.
“Bad idea.” Yumi mumbled. Brushing the dust from her uniform, she entered the school. Her eyes widened at the vast amount of space the front hall took. In the middle of the room were a series of registration desks. Opening her briefcase, she took out her course list and the registration form.
Gulping, she walked quietly to the desk and waited in line. In front of her, though, was the most intriguing person she had seen all day. The girl’s hair was as black as night, running down her back like a stampede of wild stallions. Traces of red were seen running down as well. Tokyo party girl style, Yumi thought idly. Nanashi-kun told me about them.
The girl’s uniform was worn in a style Yumi could only be astonished at. The blouse she wore was tied up so that her midriff showed, and the brown jacket was hanging on her shoulder. Yumi could see that the girl had cut her skirt short. She thought if it had been cut anymore she would be able to see her…well, buttocks!
This made Yumi very uncomfortable. If this was what was popular in Tokyo, then how could someone like her be able to fit in? I’m from the boondocks, she thought, being raised in Hokkaido doesn’t give you the best social skills. If any.
But! I will keep going on, she continued to think with forced determination. We need someone with a good career to bring the family farm back! But…why does it have to be me? I’m comfortable just being dumb. Why not send Nanashi-kun? Someone like him needs to trade his straw brain for a better one.
“Wait…someone needs to be left back there to take care of my parents and the farm. I wouldn’t have been able to do that.” She whispered to herself. “Humph, even if I have to be roommates with her, I’ll make it through university. I’ll do it for you Nanashi-kun!”
Yumi blinked as the girl looked back at her. “Whose this Nanashi-kun?” she asked with a smirk.
She blushed and poked at her glasses. “A…A good friend of mine why do you ask?”
“To say you’ll do whatever it takes, even room with me, is gutsy kid. He must be a great guy or you must be in some dire need of cash.” She responded with a half-smile this time.
The girl then returned her attention to the registration desk. Yumi couldn’t help but sigh loudly. Tokyo was so strange to her. She felt like such a stranger. I wish I were back in Hokkaido milking cows, she thought hopelessly.
Someone tapped her shoulder and snapped Yumi out of her thoughts. The older girl looked down at her. “Your turn Hime-san,” she commented before leaving Yumi, who stood there with an open mouth.
“How...dare...you!” Yumi sputtered. “Calling me a...a princess?! I was raised on a farm!” she yelled after her. The girl stopped and without looking back, waved to Yumi.
“She thinks she’s all that…” Yumi muttered and was about to comment again when she heard someone cough. The man at the registration desk looked at her impatiently. Embarrassed, she bowed.
“Sorry sensei.”
Life here has
been hell so far. I haven’t seen my roommate yet but when I saw her
name under mine, I was curious as to who this Yumi, Hyyakazi was.
Strange name isn’t it? Strange that she has the same first name
that I have! The nerve of whoever sets these dorms up! How can I room
with someone with my name? One of us is going to need to change our
names just so we don’t get confused when people talk to us!
Yumi wandered the hallways of the school, familiarizing herself with her new surroundings. The wind was brisk that day but she could deal with it. It was the type of people she was surrounded by that she couldn’t deal with. Already people were poking fun at her because of her background. She gritted her teeth and pulled on some of her hair.
If only…if only she could beat them up! But I don’t know how to fight, she lamented. That was when she saw something posted up on the bulletin board. Several other ads just like it were stapled around it. Yumi took one of the posters down and read it.
“Women are warned to be on the lookout of a serial…rapist!” Yumi’s eyes widened as she continued on. “The rapist is described to be a male in his early thirties with thin black hair and about six feet tall! Wow, that’s tall. He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt and dark blue jeans. He doesn’t really sound that scary, does he?”
“Oh, he can be.”
Yumi jumped, startled and looked behind her. A girl with dark brown hair stared at her blankly with cold, black eyes. She was taller than Yumi, which made her just like everyone else.
“He can be?” she asked.
“Yeah.” Looking to the poster the other girl still held onto, her face expressionless, the dark-haired girl continued quietly. “I was a survivor.”
Yumi watched the girl turn and walk away.
“I-I’m sorry!” she called after her but seeing no response, gave up in trying to reach her. “I said sorry…”
Yumi returned to her room. She placed her things on the right side of the rather enclosed space. Looking at a flyer she picked up, Yumi decided on one more thing that needed to be done. She would need to get a job. As much of a hassle as it would ultimately be work and attend her classes, she wanted to get a computer to type up the schoolwork she knew would come to dominate her life. But she was penniless after buying secondhand books.
Sighing, she continued to position her belongings on the side of the room she had chosen as her own. On the small nightstand that sat next to her bed, Yumi placed an alarm clock shaped like a chicken. She then added a picture of her family and a picture of herself and a boy with dirty blond hair and brown eyes, dressed in a white shirt, blue denim jacket and jeans. Adding to her growing collection, she gingerly set a nicely designed musical box next to the pictures.
Smiling to herself, Yumi packed her clothes into a dresser drawer and flopped back onto her bed exhausted.
Yumi looked up as someone opened the door. Her mouth gaped when she saw the same girl that she met at the registration table. Her eyes narrowed down at Yumi who sat motionlessly on the bed. Then a smirk slowly emerged on her slim face. A playful smirk.
“Well, let’s just see if you’ll do anything hm? Yumi-chan?” she asked her with a small giggle. Was it forced? Was she trying to psyche me out? Yumi was growing tired of the older girl’s antics.
Serial Rapist (Bad!)
Weird survivor (Not bad, just weird)
Getting a job (More worrisome than bad)
Hyyakazi Yumi (ULTRA BAD!)
Oh
Nanashi-kun! How am I going to get along without you?

LiFe Yumi YUMI! – AUTHOR CHANGE!
A new dorm-mate, huh? Well, I guess they had to find someone to replace Ai. Hyyakazi Yumi, second year student at Tokyo U, looked at herself in the small mirror against the far side of her dorm room wall. Casually, she ran a lithe hand through long, ebony hair that was streaked with erratic lines of red - and sighed. Dammit Ai, Yumi thought out bitterly as she pulled her hand away and picked up a well-used brush. Why'd ya have to go and get yourself transferred to the States? Even if it is only for a few months. Wasn't what you freakin' had here enough? Wasn't I...enough? Jeez, you always were such a fuckin' bookworm! But then, I guess that's what attracted me to you in the first damn place. Pausing, Yumi took a moment to gaze at herself in the mirror and then smiled. In the reflection behind her, a nervous and mousy girl with blond hair the color of fresh straw and glasses adorning her slim nose sat on the edge of her bed. She looked about ready to bolt from the room! The poor little darling, so new to the big city; so ready to be taken advantage of! Yumi felt a chuckle work its way up into her throat. She stifled it as best she could. Well, she thought wryly, as the old saying goes...'while the cat is away, the mouse will play'. Of course, in this case, the fuckin’ mouse won't be me... Yumi's sultry glance shifted over her shoulder to the slender girl sitting on the bed across the room.
“So,” Yumi began as she maneuvered the brush up toward her long, crimson-streaked hair. “Your name’s Yumi too, huh?”
The other girl shifted uneasily, eyes wide behind the lenses of her glasses. Yumi almost laughed out loud. Oh yes, she was going to have a lot of fun while her koishii was away in the America! A lot of fun indeed!
“Yes,” the other Yumi responded meekly as she tried to stare anywhere but at the girl in front of the mirror. Then her voice rose slightly. “I think I told you that back at the registration desks. Then you called me ‘hime-san’ and – ”
The taller girl turned to face her, brown eyes narrowed in confusion and brush still held firmly in her grip. It was funny to think that the girl sitting on the bed – as nerdy as she looked – had a memory as bad Yumi herself did sometimes.
“No,” she interrupted slyly as she went back to brushing through her hair. “You never told me your fuckin’ name was Yumi. I might be a little dense sometimes and all the pot I smoke may’ve fucked over my short-term memory, but I would definitely remember if you told me your goddamned name…hime-chan.”
The blonde-headed Yumi’s eyes furrowed angrily as she rose up from the bed and stood with her fists balled at her sides. “Stop calling me that!” she exclaimed. “I’m not a princess! I lived on a farm in Hokkaido! I milked cows! I was up early in the morning doing my chores! Don’t you dare call me a ‘princess’ again! Or so help me, I’ll…I’ll…”
Kimidori Yumi’s voice faltered when she realized that the older girl had stopped brushing her hair and was now walking over toward her. Before Yumi could do anything, the other girl had push her down onto the bed and straddled her. In an instant, Kimidori Yumi went from angry to terrified. Her eyes almost popped out from behind her glasses as the other Yumi leaned in close. So close, in fact, that her lips almost touched her’s. A bright red blush spread across not only her cheeks, but the entirety of her face. She tried to speak but nothing but nervous squeaks escaped. Blushing even more, Kimidori Yumi clamped both hands over her mouth; doing so to keep the senseless eeps and squees from coming out as well as preventing the older girl’s mouth from getting anywhere near her’s. What was the girl doing?!
Above her, Hyyakazi Yumi grinned devilishly.
“Or you’ll what?” Yumi practically cooed. “Huh? What will you fuckin’ do to me? I have a couple of ideas, but they involve a few…toys I have. So tell me, Hime-chan, have you ever had a massage wand used on your – ”
A loud knock at the door cut Yumi off curtly. And the distraction gave Kimidori Yumi the chance she needed to push the girl off of her and scoot up the bed as quickly as she could manage. Pointing a stiff, nervously twitching finger at the other Yumi, she thrust it toward her to emphasize each word that tripped and stumbled out of her mouth.
“D-DON’T…YOU…EVER…DO…T-THAT…TO…ME…AGAIN!!!”
Hyyakazi Yumi looked over at the shuddering girl sitting up against the headboard of the bed and gave her a greasy grin. Shrugging, she rose from the foot of the bed as another loud knock erupted from the other side of the door. Running a hand through her long mane of black and red hair, Hyyakazi Yumi laughed out abruptly.
“Fine,” she uttered in amusement, moving back over to the mirror and adjusting her short skirt and high-tied uniform blouse effortlessly. “I won’t ever do that to you again, Hime-chan. Besides, you’re not even my type! I was just fuckin’ playing around with you, kiddo. It’ll probably happen more, so you better get fuckin’ used to it! Oh yeah, one more thing.”
Kimidori Yumi gazed up at the older girl with wide and questioning eyes warring with a very angry expression that was slowly emerging on her face.
“What,” she asked rudely, not moving away from the headboard while the other girl was still in the room.
Hyyakazi Yumi’s smile only got broader – and greasier.
“You’re on my bed.”
Kimidori Yumi’s face grew sickly and pale, then she practically threw herself off the bed. She landed on the floor with a loud thud.
“Ow,” she mumbled as she messaged her rear end with a lone hand.
Across from her, Yumi tried very hard not to laugh.
“You need a hand, Hime-chan?”
Kimidori Yumi looked up at the older girl, mouth twisted up into an expression that was anything but welcoming. The knocking from the other side of the door continued.
“You stay away from me,” she shouted, pushing herself up from the floor. “I don’t ever want your help! You…you’re…you’re…you’re so stupid!”
Yumi’s face faltered after the words had escaped her mouth, but the other Yumi only grunted out a small laugh as she headed for the door. Pulling it open, she reached out and grabbed hold of the wild-haired boy standing there. Without saying anything to him, Hyyakazi Yumi pulled him close and kissed him full on the lips noisily – wet, sucking sounds the only that could be heard in the room for the next few seconds. Kimidori Yumi could only stare with incredulous eyes. She had never seen anything like that on the farm back in Hokkaido! If Nanashi-kun were there with her right now, he’d probably blush until he caught on fire!
Pulling away from the boy, Hyyakazi Yumi turned and flashed Kimidori Yumi a wicked grin.
“And to think,” she began as she pushed the boy back out into the hallway and followed behind him. “That could have been what happened to you a few minutes ago. Oh well, your loss, Hime-chan. I’m gone. Don’t know when I’ll fuckin’ be back, so lock up if you go anywhere, ‘kay? Oh yeah, you can call me ‘Yu-chan’ if you like. Bye!”
With that, the Hyyakazi Yumi – Yu-chan – stepped out the rest of the way into the hall and pulled the door closed behind her; laughing coyly as the boy’s hand slipped quite quickly up under her skirt. And in the fading light of her new home, Kimidori Yumi wondered what she had gotten herself into and if there was anyway that she could get out of it.
Co-Author’s Note: Hey everyone! Terryll-sensei here! Just a few things I want to point out. First off, this me and Ake-chan’s take on Tokyo University! Our ‘Tokyo U’ is not meant to be an accurate representation, so please remember that while you read and if you leave review. Also, the versions of Hyyakazi Yumi and Oyugi Aia (yes, she will be appearing soon…as well as another guest star from ‘Akai Ame’!) are a bit different here, but true to the original personality and traits that I gave them. All in all, we (Ake-chan and myself) hope that enjoyed this little jaunt into our strange parallel dimension type world. Please come back for another stay!!! And remember to review if you like…
