| Milk Petal Stars
Author: elvenstorm Wrote the last lines first then went to the beginning for some reason but that kinda sums up this poem. Backwards, personal, I mean every word.

You came down on a sunbeam
Surfing the dust drops
Blinding me with each colour that seemed
Dew drop new, reborn in your presence.
And the words that you whispered…
Cherry drop feasts to a starving mind,
That melted so sweetly on the tongue
---
Days spent entwined under velveteen leaves
Turned scarlet by our passion
Whilst the summer sun fadeed to winters blue
And a new palette flourished,
Dusky in the sleepy dawn.
---
You opened me up,
Peeling off dirty skin to leave
Milk petals impure in their whiteness,
Wholly yours to welcome the bloom that
Scattered my thoughts heavens apart;
For seeking logic within the stars,
Is the most beautiful way
To a broken heart
