Genny was awoken the next morning to a soft pressure on her thigh. Not wanting to remove herself from the warmth, Genny ignored it, as the feeling trailed up her body, over her hip, then across her waist, where it stopped directly in front of her. Genny, still reluctant to open her eyes, giggled when a tongue slipped across her neck.

“Kyle…” She mumbled, and slowly opened her eyes.

Now, there isn’t a lot that can scare Genny. Being afraid of things isn’t an option, when you’re responsible for making sure your sister is cared for, and keeping your demon servant from killing everything in his path.

But there was one thing. A creature she had come to fear since she was little. The infamous, long bodied, diamond shaped reptile that just hearing the name made her cringe. That’s right. Genny Twinsin was deathly afraid of snakes.

So when she slowly opened her eyes, and came face to face with a diamond shaped headed, light yellow scaled snake, it was no surprise what her reaction was, as it bared a set of elongated canines, and hissed.

“KYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!” Genny barely made it over the lump of her vampire boyfriend as the snake launched itself at her. Scrambling to get away from it, she screamed again, and ducked as it hissed again, and crashed hard into the wall beside the bed. She fell off the bed, and for a moment, was completely stunned by the fall.

The snake had regained its senses by then, and spun on the bed, hissing and flickering its forked tongue out its mouth. It slid quickly over the bed, then off it. By now, Genny was moving, and quickly at that. She scrambled across the floor, trying to get away from the snake as it hissed and lunged again, making her dodge to the right at the last minute. She dove under a desk, curling up and covering her ears with her hands and closing her eyes. The snake slid into position, hissed, and prepared to strike, having cornered her.

A foot came down hard on the snake’s tail. Startled, it spun, and looked up, hissing a warning. It immediately stopped when it saw it was a comrade, and instantly slithered off, hissing dejectedly.

Genny didn’t move, whimpering, her eyes clenched closed, as Kyle came into view.

“Genny?” When she didn’t respond, Kyle ducked his head under the desk and gently touched her arm. She was paler than even himself, and shaking a little.

“Genny are you okay?”

“N-no…” Genny whimpered, releasing her head in her hands. Kyle reached into the confides of under the desk and eased her out. When she resisted, he cooed in her ear.

“Come on out love…the snake’s gone…”

“Wh-why do you h-have a s-snake…”

“It’s not mine…it’s the twins…his name’s kinky…” Kyle muttered. Genny looked at him.

“Kinky?”

“Mmhmm. He’s a snake they made a vampire…I’m sorry honey…are you alright though? He didn’t touch you?” Kyle asked, looking her up and down. It was right then that Kyle realized his shivering witch was also completely naked. His eyes darkened as they took in her soft warm skin, and beautiful dark brown eyes. A growl rose in his chest as he eased her back onto the bed.

“It’s alright honey…” Kyle murmured, easing on top of her. Genny gave him a dark look as he smiled down at her.

“It’s the middle of the day…shouldn’t you be asleep…” Genny murmured, fighting the urge to moan with Kyle slipped his mouth across the crook of her neck. His lips latched onto her earlobe, and she gasped. He smiled.

“I think I have a few more hours left in me…” He murmured, grinding his hips into hers. Genny giggled, and settled into the mattress.

“Well…don’t over-exhort yourself.” She murmured, and gave a soft moan.

Frankie was stretched out on the couch when Genny came home. Watching tv beside her, Ray and Damiez looked up as Genny hurried up the flight of stairs to her bedroom. Ray smiled evilly.

“Ooooh Geeeennnnyyy.” Ray called. Genny froze mid step-hop.

“Yes?” She replied, coming back down a few steps.

“Waited up for you last night! Where’d you go?” Ray asked coyly. Genny flushed scarlet.

“I was…out.” Genny replied.

“With Kyle?”

“Y-yeah…we watched a movie in my room…umm…I need to get ready for work…so…umm..BYE!” Genny cried, and raced back upstairs. As soon as she was gone, Ray smiled at Damiez, who was grumbling under his breath.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

“She smells like vampires.” Damiez grunted.

“Is that a bad thing?”

“Yes.”

“What about me? I spend more time there than she does…do I smell bad?” Ray asked, wiggling across the couch and into his lap. He shook his head, preparing to lower his mouth to hers.

“Nah. I usually make sure you don’t even remotely smell like them…” Ray squealed as Damiez rolled over on top of her. Frankie glanced over at the couple, and rolled her eyes to the ceiling. She got up, and hurried upstairs.

“Stupid love-birds…GET A ROOM!”

After Genny finished her shift at the diner, she headed out to her car, worn out from being on her feet for almost 4 hours (and not to mention hardly getting any sleep the night before…), a Styrofoam plate tucked under one arm, holding the contents of what Genny would be having for dinner. Since Frankie usually cooked the dinners, she always made sure she made just enough for Damiez to inhale. If one didn’t hurry, the food would be gone before you could even stick your fork in it. And it was no surprise that there usually wasn’t even enough to make up a small plate for Genny. She sighed. Having a demon servant sometimes had its disadvantages.

Sticking the key into her car door, Genny stiffened when the strong aura of a demon suddenly ambushed her. Glancing around the half empty parking lot, Genny saw no one, or anything that even could partly resemble a demon. Sighing, and deciding it was probably just exhaustion kicking her senses into overdrive, Genny turned back to the car.

“Genny.” A voice said to her left.

“JESUS!” Genny screamed, crashing into the car as she turned sharply to face the intruder. Her companion was a short hooded figure, draped in a dark robe. She looked the person up and down. The aura around it rang out loudly that this was a demon.

“Wh-what do you want?” She asked, trying not to shake with fright.

“I apologize for startling you.” The demon replied. All she could see was the chin of the demon. A set of sharp canines could be seen every time the demon opened its mouth. It stood in a pose that gave it the impression it came from wealth, considering it was standing with its arms behind its back.

“Th-that’s…alright. Can I help you?” She asked. If the demon had wanted to hurt her, it would of by now. She started to relax a little, but only enough so has she could easily get away if it DID try anything.

“Are you familiar with the demon named Damiez Minitoshke?” The demon asked. Genny blinked.

“Uhh…yes. Why?”

“Is he a slave to your obedience?” The demon asked. Genny stared at him, confused. Why was he bringing up Damiez?

“You mean…a servant?” Genny asked. The demon nodded.

“Yes. He’s been with me since I was a baby.”

“So you know his demonic heritage then.” The demon said.

“I know he’s a demon…I don’t know what kind…I Just know he’s got a set of wings…but that’s it.” Genny replied.

“He has not shown you anything of his true nature?” The demon asked. Genny shook her head, then sighed.

“Look, buddy. I’m really tired. Whatever it is you want, could you make it quick-“

“He’s royalty.” The demon murmured. Genny froze.

“What?”

“Your demon isn’t the rough and tough type you make him out to be.” The demon smirked. “He’s a monster.”

“You’re lying.”

“I wish I was.”

“Stop talking to me.” Genny snapped, spinning on her heel and throwing open her car. When she got in, and revved the engine, she looked back outside, and saw the demon had disappeared.

The entire ride home, she was white knuckling the steering wheel. Damiez? Royalty? Sure he was a royal pain in the ass…but…royalty? And what did he mean by ‘a monster’ ?! Damiez COULD be a bit of a jerk sometimes…but that was a bit too far.

Pulling into the driveway of the house, Genny screamed and slammed on the brakes, as one of the twins suddenly streaked past her headlights. Shaking, she pulled the car in the rest of the way, then jumped out.

“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?! I ALMOST HIT YOU LYNDON!” Genny cried, running after the twin as he yelped and disappeared behind part of the house. The said twin froze, and spun around, causing Genny to almost crash into his chest.

“You can tell which one I am?!”

“Duh. You and you’re brother’s auras are slightly different. Now. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I COULD OF KILLED YOU!” Genny finished in a bellow. Lyndon smirked.

“That’d be an amazing feat ducky, considering I can’t die.” He replied.

“Don’t be smart with me. You know what I meant.” Genny growled.

“Oooo a slight bit moody tonight, are we ducky?” Lyndon asked. He stepped forward and pushed her into the side of the house, revealing his fangs.

“Let me help you ease into a better mood…” Lyndon purred. Genny squirmed as his hands wrapped around her sides.

“Lyyyndon!” Genny growled.

“Yes?”

“Off.”

“But you smell yummy…” Lyndon whined. Genny prepared to give him a swift kick in a spot where the sun don’t shine (quite literally), but a new voice cut her off.

“Genny!” Genny looked up as Kyle tread across the ankle-deep snow towards them. She smiled brightly, and socked Lyndon hard in the stomach, knocking the gasping twin away so she could greet Kyle properly. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he leaned down and captured her lips in a body-melting kiss.

“You didn’t have to hit me so hard…” Lyndon gasped nearby. Genny ignored him, too busy trying to keep Kyle from breathing, making the vampire moan in pleasure and push her against the side of the house. Dejected, Lyndon stormed off in search of his brother, and Genny and Kyle made out aggressively against the wall. It wasn’t until Damiez came around the side of the house, followed by Ray, and the twins, that Genny and Kyle officially broke apart.

“There you are! Genny!” Ray yelled. Genny focused on them properly then, and she was surprised to see the look of panic on all their faces.

“What’s wrong?” Genny asked, blinking.

“Frankie collapsed!”

--

Genny placed her hand against her sister’s forehead.

“You’re burning up.” Genny murmured. Clad in teddy bear pajama bottoms, and a soft yellow tank top, Frankie was buried in a mountain of blankets. Her mousy brown hair was disheveled, her face pink. A little glass thermometer stuck out from the edge of her mouth. Ray and Damiez stood behind her, hovering like worried hens. Genny took the thermometer from her mouth and studied it for a moment.

“101.2. It’s official. You got a fever Frankie.” Genny said. Frankie frowned.

“No ice skating then?”

“Not in this condition. You’d melt the ice!” Genny said, patting Frankie’s hair. She stood up to leave.

“I’ll bring you up some ginger ale in a little bit.” Genny murmured. Frankie nodded, and smiled.

“Okay.” She mumbled, and Genny, Ray and Damiez left the room. Out in the hall, Ray sighed with relief.

“I thought she was having a seizure or something. Nobody knew what to do.” Ray murmured apologetically.

“It’s not a big deal. It’s just a cold. She’ll be okay in a day or so. When Frankie gets sick, she usually gets abnormally so. Don’t worry, you did good with the blankets and stuff.” Genny said with a smile. Ray sighed with relief, smiling back. Damiez huffed.

“She ruined my movie.” He grumbled. Ray laughed and patted his chest.

“You were as worried as the rest of us.” Ray laughed. Damiez turned pink.

“Speaking of which, where are the guys?” Genny asked, glancing around the hallway

“Kyle and company were getting in Dammy’s way, so he locked the twins and victor and Kevin upstairs, Jay in the bathroom, and Kyle in your room.” Ray said, looking like she wanted to apologize again for any future disasters caused by this choice in tactics. Damiez just looked pleased. He probably enjoyed beating them around a bit.

“Oh. Well I think you can probably let Jay out…and the twins and Kevin…and Victor…should probably just head home. I don’t want Victor to get Frankie’s fever. He gets sick really easily.” Genny explained.

“and Kyle?” Ray asked coyly. Genny turned pink.

“He can stay where he is.” Genny replied. She hopped up the stairs to the Attic, so she could free Victor and his gang of fucks.

--

After she had found the twins and Victor, and sent them home (though she felt them sneak back into the living room shortly after…), and checked on Frankie once more, Genny prepared to go to bed. Worn out, she went down the hall towards her room. She spotted Jay, sulking in the darkness near the stairs to the attic.

“What are you doing?” Genny asked. Jay jumped, turning and scowling at her.

“Nothing.”

“Don’t give me attitude. You’re in MY house.” Genny growled. Jay went silent once more. He looked down at the floor, his knees drawing up to his chest, and stared at his feet. Genny blinked at him.

“You okay?”

“I’m fine.” Jay muttered. Genny said nothing for a moment.

“Frankie’s awake still. She’s probably not going to sleep much tonight. Her fever still hasn’t broken.”

“So?”

“So…could you watch her? I have to go to school in the morning.” Genny replied. Jay looked up sharply.

“I’m not a sitter!”

“You’re right. You’re not her sitter. You’re her friend. Friends stick together.” Genny replied, opening her bedroom door. Jay looked away.

“Oh. And Jay?”

“What…”

“If you touch her inappropriately…in ANY WAY…just remember that I’m not afraid to go to jail. Gooodniiiight….” Stunned, Jay stared after her for along while. Eyebrows raised, mouth turned down in a frown. His ancient heart beat hard in his chest. He glanced down the hall, to the younger sister’s room, and grunted. He slipped down the hall to the bedroom, and went inside.

Damiez lay comfortably on his back as he watched the blue lights of the television flicker from scene to scene. The pillows cushioning the back of his head, he sat propped up, the blankets down to his slim naked hips, his chest as bare as the day he had been born (though not quite so muscular). Beside him, Ray was lying on her stomach, examining the thick science textbook she was reading through, a simple spiral notebook note book beside it, along with a pencil in her hand, which she tapped against her chin in thought.

“Hey Damiez?”

“Hm.”

“Would you still love me if I only had one arm?”

“Mmhmm.”

“What about half a leg?”

“Do you still have one arm?”

“I guess so…”

“Then yep.”

“What about if I-“ Damiez looked up as she attempted to pull something else completely random, and also dealing with possible amputee situations, out of the air.

“Ray. I would love you if you had no legs, no arms, and your name was Jeremy the singing Gerbil. Kay?” There was a long pause.

“What if I had no hair…”

“Alright, no more reading.” Damiez muttered, and snatched her textbook from her hands. Ray pouted, and rolled back over onto her back, staring at him as he tossed the book away.

“What about homework?” Damiez smiled wickedly as he slid out from under the covers, and on top of the little blonde. His hands found her wrists, and slid them up over her head.

“Just tell her…that you’re hot demon boyfriend couldn’t keep his hands off you…and you never got a chance to study much for your scientific mumbo jumbo…except for maybe the anatomy of the human body…” Damiez purred, running his mouth down her jaw line as she shivered, and smiled.

“Nah. I’ll just tell her that my demon ate my homework.”

Jay had hardly made any progress by the time the others had gone to bed. He had gotten INTO the youngest Twinsin’s bedroom, and managed to make several feet into the room, even sit on the bed, before he had to stop and eye the little girl suspiciously. Sure, she looked cute and innocent, buried beneath her blankets, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t devious and evil on the inside! He had met people in the past, vampires, who looked like they were innocent and docile, but were some of the evilest people in the world. Frankie wasn’t a vampire…but that didn’t mean she could act the part!

He watched her sleep, his eyes narrowed into slits. His own sire had been like that. Small, resembling that of a child, but wicked and sinful inside. Just thinking about him sent a shiver down Jay’s spine. It had been years since he had seen the brat, and he didn’t want to make a habit of getting stuck with children ever again.

Not that Frankie was a child. She was in the ninth grade. Growing up, living her life. Her body changed frequently, her body slim and adorable. It showed in her sister, and mother, that she grow to be quite a beauty. Probably tall, and curvy, with thick brown hair…and of course, that adorable smile-

Jay blanched when he realized what he was thinking. He shouldn’t be daydreaming about Frankie! Not when she sick, and needed to be watched. Though he hated it, and made a big show of fighting his forced responsibilities, Jay couldn’t help but enjoy it.

Cross legged on the edge of her large full sized bed, Jay dropped his face into his palms, and rubbed at his eyes. He wasn’t tired, just worn out. Even asleep Frankie took a big strain out of his emotions. He lifted his head and eyed her again. She looked peaceful, tucked into bed like that. He wondered if her fever had gone down at all. Leaning forward, he pressed a cool hand to her forehead, and frowned when he felt the heat.

“Okay…so you’re still sick…” He murmured, removing his hand. Frankie gave a small mew in response, and blinked, opening her eyes sleepily. Jay stiffened, going as still as possible, almost like he thought he could hide. Her sleepy brown eyes focused on him, and she blinked in confusion.

“Jay…?”

“Yeah…it’s me.”

“Wha…what are you doing here?” Her small voice made the room seem even bigger in comparison.

“I’m watching you for the night.”

“Oh…Is Mr. Kyle with Genny…?” Frankie asked softly. Jay tried to fight his eyebrows from furrowing, and nodded.

“And…and Miss Ray…with-“

“Yeah. With Demon boy.” Frankie smiled.

“Everybody’s happy…” Frankie murmured. Jay looked away, out the window. A flash of blue moonlight glided over the extent of the room. Everything smelled like Frankie. Her innocence, her loving personality. Posters of famous bands hung on the walls. Pictures of her friends. Pictures of her sister. Teddy bears were tucked against a corner of the room, in a huge pile of plush, along with a television on top of her dresser. It held Frankie’s essence, for some reason, Jay felt complete in here.

“Yeah.” He murmured.

“Mr. Jay…can I ask you something?” Frankie asked, sitting up slowly and curling the blankets around her shoulders. Jay didn’t respond, still unable to look at her.

“What.” He muttered.

“How come you were leaving…that day at the train station?” Frankie murmured. Jay looked up sharply. His mouth flew open as he prepared to respond with a ‘its none of your fucking business!’ but Frankie’s expression stopped him. He slowly turned his head to look away again.

“I just wanted to go.”

“It was because of my sister, wasn’t it?”

This honesty shocked Jay into looking up again. Stunned, he stared at her, his eyes wide, his mouth open in a gape.

“No.”

“Yes it was. You hate her. I know you do. It’s okay if you don’t like her, Mr. Jay. Not everybody’s suppose to love you all the time. But…but Mr. Jay. Mr. Tyrone told me about…what happens to you guys sometimes.” Frankie murmured. Jay continued to gape.

“Sometimes when a vampire is alive for a long time…he goes crazy.” Frankie continued. Jay started to growl.

“If you think that’s what’s wrong, then you’re fucking stup-“

“Mr. Kyle doesn’t love you anymore. That’s why you wanted to leave.” Frankie’s eyes were intense now. Dark with the honesty she was speaking. Jay’s lip began to curve into a snarl.

“Shut up.”

“Mr. Kyle…is going crazy. You can feel it. Genny can feel it. Damiez can feel it. Everyone can feel it. It scares you that all you can do is watch as Mr. Kyle would tear himself apart. Now that Genny…Genny’s with him. You hate her.” Frankie said. Jay lashed out then, shoving her hard into the headboard of her bed, making her yelp in pain, and holding her pinned.

“I SAID SHUT UP!” Jay snarled into her face. She stared at him, wide eyed, speechless for a moment. Then, her eyebrows furrowed, and her lips turned down in a frown.

“YOU’RE NOT SCAREY!” She yelled. He blinked, momentarily stunned.

“YOU’RE NOT SCAREY AT ALL! DON’T YOU SCARE ME!” Frankie growled. Jay was speechless. Nobody EVER stood up to him like this. He couldn’t even think of a scary response!

A sniffle from Frankie made him look down. Fat tears welled up on the brims of her lashes. They fell down heavily, and she rubbed at her eyes, as she sniffed again.

“Okay…you’re a little scary…” And then she promptly burst into tears.

Safe to say, Jay panicked. Frankie had gone from serious, to angry, to terrified, all in a matter of minutes. Was she bipolar or something?!

“N-no…No I’m not scarey…”

“Y-YES! Y-Y-Y-YES YOU AAAAARE! YOU Y-Y-YELLED AT M-ME!” Frankie cried, hiccupping.

“N-no! I’m sorry…” Jay cried.

“YES YOU AAARE! YOU YELLED AT ME AND-“ Frankie hiccupped again as Jay grabbed her face in both hands, and forced her to look up, and promptly coved her mouth with his.

It wasn’t a deep kiss, but it wasn’t enough to make her eyes go wide, and her tears to immediately stop. He tried to keep from laughing when she gave a hiccup again, only against his mouth, so it was slightly muffled. He pulled away after a short moment, and Frankie looked stunned. Her cheeks were burning, but he couldn’t tell if it was from her fever, or from him.

“Are we okay now…?” Jay asked, still holding her face. He wiped some tears away from her eyes with his thumbs, and attempted to smile.

“I like you grumpy.” She stated. This made Jay’s smile fall. She smiled.

“There!” She snaked her arms around his neck, and hugged him tenderly.

“I’ll make you not crazy too Jay.” Frankie promised. Jay simply sat there, at a loss for words.

“Okay Frankie. Whatever you say.”

--

Jay, being nearly five hundred, figured he could live through any bout of torture. Anything treacherous that came his way, he thought he could handle it better than anyone he knew.

Then he met the force that was named Frankie, and he discovered everything was not as he hoped them to be.

Situations, like the one he was in now, should have been easier to handle. The phrase ‘easier said than done,’ popped into his head, and he closed his eyes in aggravation.

After her hiccups had stopped, Frankie had crawled back into the covers. She asked for another kiss, but he refused, so instead she convinced him to settle into the blankets with her. (Also, a good deal of threatening to call for Damiez or her sister helped a bunch as well…)

“You’re nice and cool Mr. Jay. And I’m hot. So you can help me from dying of the heat! You can be my ice pack!” She exclaimed, and then giggled at his irritated expression. Unable to think of a good excuse, Jay got into the covers, lying on his back, and immediately she squirmed closer, and clung to him like glue.

Now, he was lying on his side, her front pressed to his, the smell of her strawberry scented hair strong against his nose.

Having no body heat of his own, his body regulated to the temperature around him. It took on Frankie’s warmth like a sponge, and Jay was embarrassed to realize, he liked it.

Her soft breath flattered the skin of his neck occasionally, making him feel more relaxed.

Mr. Kyle doesn’t love you”

Jay saddened as he remembered what the little witch had said. It was true. Kyle no longer looked at him the same way he used to. His thoughts were constantly on Frankie’s sister. His eyes were always foggy and distant. Jay missed how things had been before. When Kyle gave him that same look. The look that Kyle now flattered over Genny whenever he saw her. The look he wanted back so badly.

Before moving to Moonlight Drive, Kyle had been distant. He stopped sleeping with multiple people. He stopped flattering others with his smile. He even gave up on Jay. Jay’s eyes closed at the memory.

He really was going crazy…Jay thought.

He was going crazy, and I couldn’t help him. Jay ran his fingers across Frankie’s soft brown hair.

Genny’s the only one who saved him. It wasn’t me. It was her. Jay cursed himself silently. Well if everyone ELSE was falling in love, why couldn’t he?! He couldn’t let go of the past. Shit.

I’ll make you not crazy too, Mr. Jay!

Jay then remembered Frankie’s words. Was he too losing it? DID he need to be saved? He wasn’t sure.

Warm fingers clasped his shirt front suddenly, making him stiffen. Then he remembered where he was, and relaxed.

“Mmm…Mr. Jay? Are you okay?” Frankie mumbled. Jay sighed softly.

“I’m fine.”

“Want to hug my teddy bear?” Frankie asked, rolling away and lifting a ragged pink bear, definitely past its prime, into his face. Jay couldn’t help but smile at the warm gesture.

“No, that’s alright. I’ve got one.” Jay murmured.

“Really? Can I see it?” Frankie asked, looking around. Jay shook his head.

“It’s you, silly.” He murmured, and wrapped his arms around her, and eased her into his embrace. A wide smile spread across her face.

“Oooooh. Okay. Nuh-night Mr. Jay.” Frankie mumbled, and promptly fell asleep again. Jay smiled.

I think I can get used to this.

Genny stifled a yawn beneath her hand as she sat nestled in the lap of her cute new boyfriend. Well…the two had been dating for a little time before the night before, but now she felt closer to him than before.

Kyle watched the movie with much distracted boredom. The movie he had seen before, the beauty in his lap something he wanted to watch again and again. His own hands curled around her sides, ending in the warm center of her lap.

Fucking jeans. Kyle thought, furious at the layer of denim that kept him from her skin.

He had figured making love with her would make his emotions ease up. No such luck. Genny was a drug, and he needed more of it.

“Well…I’ve had enough of this…how about you?” Genny suddenly asked, almost like she had read his thoughts. Kyle blinked.

“Huh?”

“The movie. I’ve see it too many times. Come on, let’s go to bed.” Genny murmured, crawling off his lap and off the bed, going to her dresser. She eased a thin, blue nightgown from the top drawer and slipped out of her clothes and into the nightgown. Kyle watched with hungry eyes. Genny turned her light off, sending them into darkness. Kyle could still see her though, in the glow of the TV. She turned off the TV then, and crawled into bed, and onto him. He fought the urge to groan as he felt her hips settle over him, pressing down against his groin. Genny smiled, then leaned down and captured his lips with her own.

He rolled over on top of her, and ran his hands over the silky blue of her gown.

“C’mere…” He purred, and lowered his head to her mouth, and kissed her deeply.

Then, Genny’s bedroom door opened, and she lifted her head, Kyle turning to look too.

“GENNY EMILY TWINSIN!”

“….Mom?!”

Ellen Twinsin stood framed in the doorway, Jake Twinsin behind her. The look on Ellen’s face was that of pure fury. Jake just looked pale. Genny’s own face was white and eyes wide with horror, and Kyle looked stunned.

“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!” Ellen bellowed. Genny wiggled out from under Kyle, and stood. She adjusted her nightgown, then threw her hands up to explain.

“Mom…this is Kyle! From next door? And my boyfr-“

“Get out of my house!” Ellen cried, pointing down the hall. Kyle blinked.

“But Mom-“

“I DON’T EVEN KNOW THIS BOY! AND YOU’RE SLEEPING WITH HIM?!”

“That’s not fair, you’re never even home-“

“SO THIS IS AN EXCUSE TO HAVE SEX?”

“Of course not! Mom-“

“WHERE’S YOUR SISTER?! WHERE’S YOUR SISTER IN ALL THIS?! YOU BETTER NOT HAVE SUBJECT HER TO ANY OF THIS!” Ellen screamed. She shoved past her husband and charged down the hall, Genny, Jake and Kyle hot on her heels.

“Oh no.” Kyle murmured. Genny glanced at him questioningly, as Ellen opened Frankie’s door.

And promptly shrieked.

“GET OUT! GET AWAY FROM MY BABY RIGHT NOW!” Ellen screamed. Genny bolted in after her mother, and groaned.

Jay and Frankie were in bed together. Dressed, but cuddling. Frankie was groggily waking up, while Jay looked wide eyes and terrified.

“Mama?” Frankie mumbled.

“GET OUT! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!” Ellen screamed, chasing Jay out of the bed. He ran out to Kyle, and Ellen grabbed Frankie.

“DID HE TOUCH YOU BABY? DID HE?!”

“No mama! Mr. Jay was taking care of me-“ Frankie cried, scared of the frantic look in her mother’s eyes.

“Why do you think I would let him do such a thing?! She’s just a kid mom!” Genny yelled. Ellen turned to her.

“and you aren’t?! Why did she need to be watched?!” Ellen cried. Genny paled.

“Sh-she had a fever…” Genny said weakly.

“A FEVER?! AND YOU DUMPED THIS RESPONSIBILITY ONTO SOMEONE ELSE?! SOMEONE YOU HARDLY KNOW?! YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THIS! NOT HIM! “ Ellen yelled, pointing accusingly at Jay.

“I TRUST Jay mom!” Genny cried.

“REGARDLESS OF TRUSTING HIM OR NOT, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN WATCHING HER! INSTEAD YOU RUSH OFF AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE SEX, AND LEAVE YOUR SISTER HERE WITH A STRANGER!” Ellen yelled.

“JAY ISN’T A STRANGER! NEITHER IS KYLE! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT MOM!” Genny bellowed right back.

“DON’T you dare speak to me like that! YOU’RE GROUNDED!” Ellen cried. Genny’s face burned with fury.

“OF COURSE I AM! THE ONE TIME I ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP ME OUT WITH TAKING CARE OF THIS FUCKING HOUSE, SINCE YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN’T DO IT, CONSIDERING YOUR NEVER HERE, AND SUDDENLY THE WAY I’M RAISING MY LITTLE SISTER, IS WRONG!” Genny bellow.

“RAISING YOUR SISTER?! EXCUSE ME?!” Ellen yelled right back. Kyle tried to touch Genny’s arm, to get her calm down.

“Genny…I think-“

“YES! RAISING MY LITTLE SISTER! YOU’RE NEVER GOD DAMN HERE! YOU COME HOME, EAT, SLEEP, THEN OFF YOU GO AGAIN! YOU BASICALLY GOT THIS HUGE HOUSE FOR JUST ME, AND FRANKIE AND DAMIEZ! YOU DON’T EVEN USE IT!” Genny roared. Ellen looked stunned for a moment. Then her eyes narrowed, and she suddenly pushed past Genny, and the others, and stormed down the stairs.

Confused, everyone glanced around the small group, confused at what she was doing. Then they heard the basement door being wretched open. Jake paled.

“Oh no. Damiez.” He groaned, and flew down the stairs, Genny on his tail, Kyle, Jay and Frankie right behind her. Briefly they spotted a pile of bodies awaking groggily in the living room as they stormed past, realizing it was the twins and Victor, and continued on to the kitchen, then down into the basement. By the time they got down there, Damiez and Ray were awake, and Ray was struggling for her clothes, while Damiez was cornered by the girl’s mother.

“YOU! YOU’RE TO BLAME! YOU’RE GIVING A SIMPLE TASK OF MAKING SURE THEY DON’T DO ANYTHING GOD DAMN WRONG, AND I COME HOME, AND THE HOUSE IS BASICALLY A WHORE HOUSE! YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! GET OUT RIGHT NOW!” Ellen yelled.

Damiez just stared at her with wide green eyes. Then he looked up at Genny, and the vampires, and Frankie and Ray, who had gotten her clothes on, and was staring at him with worried expressions. Then Damiez locked his eyes on Jake’s.

“J-Jake…” He mumbled. Jake looked miserable. Genny gripped her hands on the stairs bar, staring at her father.

“Damiez…I think you should leave.” Jake said softly. Damiez’s expression could only be described as wounded. His best friend had just struck a good sized hole directly into his heart. His best friend was choosing his wife, a bitch of a woman with no heart inside her boney body, over him, a pathetic servant with no where else to go.

His hurt expression turned down into a frown. Genny watched all this with heart wrenching agony. It had taken them all so long to get that face to disappear. Now it had returned in a matter of seconds. Ray watched with labored breath. Frankie watched, her eyes wide and confused at what was happening. Damiez swallowed hard.

“Fine.” He said simply, his jaw tight with anger. He grabbed his jacket, and a pair of worn out snow boots, and headed up the stairs. His friends watched him go up the stairs with confused eyes. He stomped up the wooden stairs, ignoring all their attempts to get him to look at them, and disappeared from sight. Genny started to run up the stairs after him.

“Genny Twinsin! Don’t you dare follow him!” Ellen squawked from where she stood in the basement. Genny paused and turned to look at her. Her eyes were filled with tears.

“Screw you mom.” Genny said, and turned around and started back up the stairs again. Ray and Frankie, Jay and Kyle raced after her. Passing the living room again, Lyndon, Tyrone, Victor and Kyle appeared, all clad in jeans, their chests bare. They blinked as Damiez stormed past, followed by the others.

“What’s going on?” Victor asked Kyle, running after them. Kyle looked at him.

“Damiez has been kicked out.” Kyle said simply. Victor stopped, stunned.

“What?!”

“DAMIEZ! DAMIEZ WAIT UP! COME ON DAMIEZ!” Genny screamed, ignoring the cold pain in her bare feet as she raced across the lawn, following after Damiez’s dark form. Ray was right beside her, also clad in barely anything to keep them warm. They ran barefoot down the icey road to the end of Moonlight Drive, where Damiez stood. They stopped a few feet away.

“D-Damiez…don’t leave.” Ray cried, hugging herself to keep warm. They’re breath came out in foggy clouds, floating up past their heads and disappearing. Damiez half turned around. His expression was surly and furious.

“It’s best if you two just forget me.” Damiez said. Genny’s heart wrenched as she hugged herself.

“Damiez…we could never forget you! Don’t say that! Damiez my mother…she’s a bitch! Don’t leave us.” Genny called. Ray was starting to sniffle.

“Y-you can live with m-me Damiez! There’s plenty of room!” Ray tried to reason.

“And have Ellen tell your mother about me? I can’t risk you getting in trouble too.” Damiez murmured. He turned all the way around now.

“I think it’s best if I just go.” Damiez said. He suddenly tapped the asphalt beneath his heel, and the ground burst forth with light. Genny and Ray took a step back, stunned.

“DAMIEZ! NO!” Genny and Ray screamed in unison. Damiez took off his jacket, putting it down on the ground, away from the glowing ground, then stepped back. He gave a little wave, took another step back, and was gone.

Genny and Ray raced forward, their voices hoarse from screaming. Tears ran down their faces heavily. They ignored the cold around them. Genny stepped onto the ground where Damiez had once stood, while Ray dropped to her knees in front of the jacket, and grabbed it. She pressed it to her face, still slightly warm from his body, and sobbed into it. Genny cried, blasting the ground with every magic trick she knew, filling the air with multicolored clouds.

Eventually, when the inevitable set in, and the girls realized that their beloved demon was gone, Genny and Ray collapsed into a sobbing heap beneath the bright green sign that read out clearly in white letters ‘Moonlight Drive.’

Standing in the shadow of one of the houses, a figure watched. Draped in black robes, the hood covering its head. It watched the girls, an evil smile on his face. From his lips, he breathed one word.

“Delicious.”

“Genny?” Genny looked up as her sister’s brown hair appeared through the trap door leading onto the roof. She smiled.

“Hey Frankie.” Genny said softly. Frankie climbed up through the trap door, and crawled across the sharp incline, to where her sister sat.

“What are you doing out here?” Frankie asked. Genny didn’t reply. She looked out in the direction of the house across the street. Frankie looked too. The big moving truck parked outside was answer enough.

“Oh. Right.” Frankie mumbled, drawing her knees up to her chest, and sighing.

“Did they leave yet?” Frankie asked. Genny shrugged.

“I wouldn’t know.” She murmured. Frankie tried to smile.

“Hey. Cheer up. At least that restraining spell Dad put on us will wear off soon…” Frankie mumbled. She knew too well that this didn’t make Genny feel any better. Weeks had gone by since they had seen them. Weeks had gone by since she had seen him. Frankie heaved another sigh.

“Just remember the good times Genny. As weird as they were….” Frankie said, smiling. Genny wiped at a tear, and shrugged again.

“Yeah…you’re right.” She murmured. Frankie nodded.

“Yep,Yep. Some strange days…”
