AN- I made this a seperate chapter, for some reason. Eh. Who knows?
So yeah, Jane didn’t take it too well. Even after I had her over and she met Daisy (which was the most awkward dinner of my life!), she still wasn’t too happy. She never did warm up to her, to be honest. She was nice to her, and she was civil and would talk to her, but whenever Daisy was around Jane would move closer to me, or grab my hand, or find and excuse to sit in between Daisy and me. Anything to make the point that she, not Daisy, was dating me.
I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. Daisy was just my friend, and nothing more. I’d talk to both of them about it (when it was just me and one of them, never at the same time. I didn’t want to risk that fight. I’m not sure who would win.), and Jane was the only one that had a problem. Daisy was starting to resent it, though. It was annoying her, and she started calling Jane “Cat Girl” when she wasn’t around.
But deep down they were both nice people, so Jane sucked it up and admitted that she couldn’t throw Daisy out onto the street, and Daisy admitted that Jane was just reacting that way because of old boyfriends that had cheated on her and she should just let it be for now, she’d calm down eventually.
But despite that it didn’t keep it from being really awkward and tense in the house whenever Jane came over.
