Silver Moonsweep

Manami heard a scream. She bolted upright.

‘What was that?’ she thought. She had been sleeping all afternoon, dreaming of miscellaneous codes, nothing making sense.

Rowana walked in, smiling slightly. "You woke up. How was your sleep?"

"Different..." Manami trailed off, feeling light, "Could I please have some food?"

"Of course." Suddenly a woman came in, new to Manami, bringing with her a delightful smell.

"What was your dream of?" Rowana interrogated.

"I dreamt I was in some sort of world. There was a hut, but it was large and very posed. We were trying to get over the fence for some reason-"

"We?"

"There was a girl with me, she looked like me, I wore a hat, but it had no top, just a brim, I tried to get over the fence, but I jumped, further than the average human, and ran into a tree. I tried numerous times, but I could not get over. Finally, somehow, I got over; the girl was with me. We went inside and found a cord. It was as though we were suppose to put it in another cord...as though we must do so to go to another world, but then a lady came and swapped the cords. A weird sound came on, people were talking but there were no people, it was like a play it could not be seen. She found us, she enslaved us and she liked this other girl more then me, i had to clean dishes, as she said, there were shiny metal things, and when you turned them water came out. I was threatened to be soled, she said it was whipping me, three slashes and i'm dead. I was terrified. Then i heard a scream and woke up." Manami took a deep breath, trying to relax but all she could think about was the woman and her husband, her husband had told her what to do. It was just too different. She feared men would take over the world.

“And this dream, did it seem real? Did you feel the warmth of the water and the fear inside of you?” Rowana asked.

“Yes…that’s why I fear I can see things. That’s why I have been so scared.”

“You can see into the future, you are very talented. We must find out more. Sleep, my dear.” Rowana lead her back to the bedroom.

Fear crept over Manami as she drifted into a soundless sleep.

The wind whipped Manamis’ face, sending her into a black hole. People all around her laughed but there were no people to be seen. Just black, black everywhere. Finally Manami fell into a small room filled with boxes, boxes with people inside them, talking, laughing, crying, and screaming. Manami was trapped; she couldn’t escape. But wait; there was a light over there. She scrambled to her feet, jumping to the light. When she opened her eyes she was in a huge amount of water, the ground below was smooth and people were jumping in and having fun. Suddenly a man dressed in strange underwear came up to her and asked her to get out of the pool.

She ran and ran, right into a fire. It burnt her. She watched herself burn into flames. Every skerrick of her was burning. She couldn’t scream. She couldn’t speak. She stood in silence, burning.

Suddenly a man came to her. He was wearing a brown cloak and held a staff in his hand. Relieved to see someone normal she walked up to him. He looked at her, with his eyes, one brown the other white. He smiled, making his way towards her chanting something in a language unknown to all.

“Manami…Manami!” One of Rowanas’ servants were shaking her slightly, waking her from the nightmare.

A/N; sorry I have to leave it here…this is all I’ve planned…yes I planned…I’m sorry….but the next chapter is going to be at least five pages long or it won’t be posted….okay? And that will happen in the next….two weeks. I promise…
