We walked

like we owned the place

We Did.

(it was empty, see)

but that doesn't matter

As we stalked,

arms linked

Sideways

Rambling through

The concrete valleys

Between the terraced houses

unyeilding

Where

we knew

The Others watched

Coronation Street

and drank tea

While we wondered

Finger-burning-salty-delights:

Theft

Of

Time

Warming our hands

And crammed in between laughing

While the

Indignant arm of the Bland,

Personified

As the burly wind

Attempted to apprehend us

As we meandered

Through

the Rainy day we saved for
