She sits at her desk
Carving her name in to her arm and in to the pale wood
Blood and ink mix in to a toxic color
She's lieing to her friends and family
Faking smiles and forcing laughs
She's alone on the inside and lost forever
Fatherless and born in to a broken home
Tempted to end it but to scared to do it
Not even her mother can hear her silent cries
She wipes her tears on her sleeves and paints her eyes to cover scars
Her poems are unintentional cries for help
She yerns for attention and praise
Which few pay mind to
She's the friend
Never the girlfriend
The overweight tomboy who watches her crushes fall in and out of love with everyone but her
Her intellegence is hidden behind black eyeliner and red hair dye
She hates her reflection and dispises her pale skin
Those ice blue eyes hold more tears than anyone will ever know
But she'll continue to smile through the pain
The never ending ache
She'll swallow her fears and nightmares like she's grown to do
She bury her emotions where her father is
She'll lie to her friends and tell them she's fine
But on the inside she screams
Because she lives a lie
Because she wants to hide
