Porcelain

Water can drip

(Tiny, perfect diamonds that leave gaping holes)

And flesh can melt

(You used to be alive but now you’re just a puddle)

And bones can be swept away like dust

But I’ll stay the same forever

(I’m stuck the way you loved me)

And let old sighs collect on my brow

(They’ll rest beside the sorrow)

Because I’m china doll left to perish in perfect porcelain rust
