AN: Yes, I know it's been a long time since I've updated. I would like to thank all of you who have reviewed for reviewing. That means alot to me, you'll never know just how much! So yeah...I've also decided that this story will be told in two POVs...meaning one chapter will be told in Nariko, and then Tristain's...it's possible that I could alternate throughout the chapter, but I doubt it, that would just confuse you guys. Also, I would like to apologize in advance for any grammer errors or spelling, I don't know how to use spell check on this program blushesSo that's all I have to say for now. Enjoy!

"Tristain you fucking bum get up!" a harsh voice snapped, snapping me out of my light sleep.
"Greg get the hell out of my room, I'm getting up!" I snarled.
"Don't you take that tone with me boy! I'm still your father and I can put you in your place real damn quick!" he threatened slamming my door.
I grumbled my response to him and kicked my sheets off. We'd just moved into this house only a few months ago and he was already starting in on me. My mom decided she didn't love my dad anymore and that it would be best to split ways. Dad wasn't too fond of that, but he agreed, no one knew the truth about his feelings...no one except me. The night mom left dad went out on a benge and drank so much they had to call a taxi to bring him home. When he drank he got abusive and mean, he'd say hateful and hurtful things to me, things that got my blood boiling.
I never hit him, or fired back sarcastic comments, but I wanted to. I shook my head trying not to think about him anymore. Slowly I drug my feet across the floor over to my small closet, I needed to finally get to school, I'd been searching for the right one, and once I'd found it it had taken forever to get accepted into it, all the paperwork was ridiculas! I grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans, I honestly didn't care what I looked like on my first day, it wasn't like I was trying to impress anyone special.
Once I was cleaned up and looking decent in my mind's eye, I grabbed my car keys and headed out the door, not saying anything to my drunken father who'd asked where I was going. I ran my hand over the sleek door of my 75' Camero, it wasn't the best car one could have, but it certainly was better than what most people had. I opened the door and climbed in, I sat there a minute, trying to motivate myself to want to go, but I really didn't want to, I just wanted to stay home and do what I usually did all day...nothing. Finally, I turned the car on and peeled out of the drive way, chuckling as the old man came out glaring at me in my rearview mirror.

When I arrived at the school and stepped out of my car, I felt everyone's eyes on me, I hated being the center of attention. Calmly I made my way to the office and impatiently waited for the secretary to get off the phone and assist me with what I needed. She looked me up and down before making any attempt to help. "Is there something I can do for you?" she asked, smiling fakely.
I pulled out a couple of papers and handed them over. "I'm Tristain Sanchez, we spoke on the phone a week or so ago about enrolling here," I said polietly.
Realization hit her and she stood up, her smile suddenly becoming rather real. "Oh! I remember you! Why didn't you say so dear? Right this way...we'll get you in to see the couselor and she'll help you with any questions you have, then she'll appoint a student to help you around the school for the first couple of days," she explained in a bubbly voice.
After fourty-five minutes of mindless jabbering I was walking down the hall next to a rather tall guy, about 6'2, he had short blonde hair and blue eyes, typical jock, I could already tell. "So, where you comin' here from?" he asked.
At least he was friendly. "Oh, uh, I'm from Ohio, my mom and dad split, I got stuck with my dad, and we moved up here," I stated, giving him a short version of the story.
"Ahh, that sucks, divorces are a nasty thing. But listen, if you ever need anything, or anything of that sort just let me know," he said glancing at me really fast.
We walked a little more and arrived in a large mosh of students. "What are they doing?" I asked dumbfounded.
"Hangin' out, that's what we do before our first bell rings, we all come here and chill," he explained.
I nodded, but I still didn't see the point of it all. A few other tall guys in letter jackets walked over to him and started meaningless chit chat, I lost interest and started looking around the room. Observing the students I could tell which group was which, personally I hated labling, but I always did it, but I tried not to. Suddenly the door flew open and I looked up, a girl wearing dark clothes and a dark expression, she looked sad. I wanted to see her eyes, see if I could see her story. Almost as if she heard me, she looked at me, and our eyes were locked instantly, I couldn't pull my self away from her. I did only when one of the football players spoke to me. "I'm Jason," he said nodding his head as greeting.
I nodded back with a weak grin. "I'm Tristain," I said back.
He looked ready to say something else but all of our attention was taken to the front, by the restrooms. Girls started screaming and a couple guys started to laugh. All of us rushed over to see what was up, I cringed at the site before me. A girl was standing there, her light hair matted already with blood, it was pouring from her nose as if it were a fountain! "What the hell happened to you?" Jason exclaimed pushing younger kids out of the way to get to her.
She was sobbing uncontrollably. "Nariko! That fucking whore! She hit me, oh my god Jason! She broke my nose!" she wailed.
I personally didn't feel sorry for her, knowing her type I figured she probably deserved it. Jason was walking her towards the front office when the bell rang and students began to scatter. I sighed and pulled my scheduel out of my pocket, I groaned. "History, how wonderful, my first day...my first hour...and I've got history!" I complained beginning to roam the halls cluelessly.
I had no idea where I was going, or where I should have been going. I was cursing myself, not really caring what anyone thought as they walked by me, I only stopped to actually pay attention to my surroundings when I ran into a smaller figure. "Watch where the fuck I'm going!" a feminin voice barked.
I blinked and looked down at her. "Uh, I'm sorry," I said recognizing her from earlier.
She looked up at me and finally realized who I was, she sighed heavily. "Oh, sorry...I thought you were one of those other stupid jocks," she said looking down at the ground, then back up at me again. "I'm Nariko, what's yer name?"
"I'm Tristain," I said flashing her a grin as I took her extended hand. "Would you happen to know where History 5-G is?" I asked feeling stupid.
Nariko smiled and nodded. "Yeah it's...uh...it's..."
I could see her paling and her knees give way, I was quick to catch her as she lost conciousness and fell limply in my arms. Panic swept over me like never before. What was I supposed to do with her?! I felt something wet and hot run down my arm, I looked....blood, and alot of it. I pulled her arm sleeve up and gasped at what I saw. It was...there were no words to describe how I felt once I'd seen what Nariko had done to herself. Snapping myself out of my daze I scooped her up in my arms and rushed her up to the office where they called an ambulance.
I of course insisted on going with, when they denied, I took my car and followed anyway. 'Gee,' I thought to myself. 'What a great first day...'

Charles-- This isn't another "emo/goth" story, this is a story about a lot more than that. I suggest you actually read it before you make such accusations, just because Nariko self harms, doesn't mean she's "emo/goth" She's merely Nariko. If you've got problems with that...then don't read.
bex17-- Thank you so much! I loved getting your review it brightened my day!
