It's been two months now since the night you were taken
Since the cold night you were taken from us all
We've all yet to heal
An pain is still all we can feel
They told you it'd get better
That you needed to breathe
Lighten up & not take it so hard
To not take it so personally
They tried to convince you it wasn't as bad as it seemed
You saw it as being worse than it was
You'd lost hope
And you just couldn't cope
They told you it'd get better
That you needed to breathe
Lighten up & not take it so hard
To not take it so personally
There was no one who could save you
There was no one who could stop you
You couldn't be saved
And you couldn't be stopped
They told you it'd get better
That you needed to breathe
Lighten up & not take it so hard
To not take it so personally
