After an instant under blinding skies my body is

Possessed by summer madness/

My face warmed by (the) latent sunlight

Captured in the complexity of your

surface glance that holds

/everything/

is caught up in your stare

and maybe I see the world leaking colour by colour

word by word out of your eyes

fleeing to

dreamings left behind in deserts

struggling up into the sky

/inch by inch/

your heart makes up for lost time

seeping into the atmosphere/ creating spaces

for all those minutes you’ve spent

living in telephone wires

- - - - - - -

oh!

But once you’ve left

I am resigned again to the endless flight of

/my mind/

like an exodus of a million restless birds

crazy wingstrokes tearing gaping holes in

the (brittle) fabric of

/my insides/

slowly fill with painted winter air

and resonate with everything

strange ,hollow, alone
