Lost Love

She’s in love with him,

But he doesn’t know

Why she won’t go out on a limb

And why her emotions don’t show.

She wants to let all of it out,

Unlock trapped emotions,

Jump and scream and shout.

She’s bound by her boyfriend.

The man that she still loves,

Wishing the sadness would come to an end.

But how is she meant to tell him everything,

To reveal her emotions,

And prove it’s not a fling.

She’s fighting herself inside,

Tearing everything up from within.

Killing the emotions that she’s always had to hide.

Throwing them away, and submitting to her sins.

Begging for assistance,

She goes to all her friends.

Finding too much resistance,

She prays her life will end.

I wish that I could help her,

But I’m unable to do a thing,

Her true love is the only one that can save her,

And help her broken heart sing.
