Self Mutilation

I applaud your self-mutilation

Scream out to a whole nation

Kill the pain in your heart of hearts

Before the healing ever starts

Give up there is something to fall for

You’re fading away, dying more

Why are you here your not suppose to be

You say you want to see me

There is truth inside your lie

But all it is, is that you want to die

Go away leave this place

Don’t come back, don’t show your face

This relief won’t set you free

It traps you here don’t you see

We are friends we are one in the same

I’m tired of this screwed up game

Help yourself stop doing this

All I feel is this helplessness

I bow to your courage to do this thing

In the end it is so mean

But if you scream out to a whole nation

They won’t applaud this self-mutilation

No matter how big this self-depression

You know they won’t listen

Finally you won your own war

Just like so many others before

I’ll bow to you just one more time

Get out of my face your out of my mind.
