Inspired a really long time ago (about two and a half years) when I first fell in love with Gavin deGraw

What I’m Without

We’d kill mockingbirds for fear

Of absence for the things we used to do

But now the night’s stars are clear

Up on your fallen heaven bed

This cold, crisp feeling

Commin’ over me new

If I jump down

Run into stolen woods

Where fear is more threatening

Than the yellow eyes of the wolves

That follow me there

Out where my breath is suddenly making clouds

Would you follow me?

Don’t let me down

The stars wanna see their sister

Get in a good chase tonight

And right now

You’re knockin’ out my lungs

Stealin’ all my breath away

With your “I don’t wanna be”s

And heavy, drug induced parties

Come around

Change my world

Just enough to satisfy

My mountain dust cravings

Look up at the starry sprinkled sky

And the waverings

Of a broken little fool

Of an angel wing girl
