Don’t hold me back; I want to fly

Far past the boundaries of the sky

Don’t tie my wrists, don’t clip my wings

I want to see and learn new things

Don’t lock me in your iron mold

I want to live before I’m old

My heart, my mind, my nerves, my soul

Are vacant; let me make them whole

Let me do it, let me try

I want to soar and touch the sky.
