THE BEGINNING

CHAPTER ONE-THE BIKE RIDE

A monstrous thunderbolt lit the dark and cloudy sky. Is it ironic that the evil that is going on at 2236 W. Spell Ave, is a result of the thunderstorm? Just like in scary movies when a little girl is quivering next to her teddy bear.

No! The big and main question here is if it is ironic. Or maybe it’s just some kind, shape, or form of irony. But! Oh yes the evil word that most people just scream when they hear! But what if they read it? Is it scary then? Would the people or the audience whom may read this scream as they read the word but?

Kevin is his name and building an evil empire so he can rule the world and be happy and have a lot of power is his game. And who is going to stop this evil ten year old from achieving his goal? Our hero for the next few stories is Vince. Yes! His brother! But the audience won’t know this because I, the powerful narrator, haven’t said anything of the sort yet! I’m really powerful! I can end this story or I can decide to continue this story. The only power I do not have, is to stop this mad man from world domination. And

Every night I cry myself to sleep because I am so powerless against this ten year old. Maybe one day my boss will give me that power. I don’t think so though. I also think its ironic that the writer is also a character in this story and if he gave me, the powerful narrator, the power to stop Kevin, it would ruin the writer’s life and purpose of this story! Bah!

Kevin, a mere kid, looked outside with admiration. The lighting, so powerful, so bright, so….so….genius!

“One day,” Kevin said, “I’ll be just like the lighting. Oh yes, when I’m old enough to ride a bike, that’s when I’ll start forming my empire!” A gleam showed in his eyes. A gleam no one can see for no one is around to see. A gleam no one could see anyway because of his nerdy glasses. Another evil thought popped into his head. Why wait? Let me learn how to ride a bike now! Yes!!!! That’s it! Tomorrow when the sun is young and bright, I’ll mousy on down to the driveway and learn to ride a bike!!! Then when I master this skill of riding a bike, I can go ahead and start my empire!!

Unknownst to Kevin, but knownst to us, the writer and I have a few tricks and surprises up our sleeves! Sorry, Kevin! Creating your Empire won’t be so easy after all! Now will it???!! Will it???!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! No! The writer and I have spend long and countless nights trying to scheme up a way to stop you and make your road to creating your empire a difficult one! Oh yes we have!! Get all excited Kevin! GET PUMPED UP KEVIN!!! JUST WAIT UNTIL MORNING AND WALK COOLY AND CONFIDENT TO THE BIKE THAT’S JUST WAITING FOR YOU! THE BIKE IS EVIL KEVIN BUT YOU DON’T KNOW THAT YET! DO YOU?!

Poor innocent Kevin thinks he has everything made. No, my friends, the torturous gravel road is just beginning.

Daylight!! Kevin rushed out of bed to brush his teeth. Rattling in the kitchen signal dear mommy was making breakfast. Kevin doesn’t have time for breakfast. His breakfast will be a mouth full of cement! HA!!

The bike! It’s shiny black frame winking back at Kevin. A tempting gleam the bike was giving Kevin. Kevin slowly and carefully approached this mechanism. This odd thing that some dude invented for him to enjoy.

Kevin grabbed hold of the rubber grips on the handle bars and Kevin pushed the bike to the driveway. The driveway is flat and perfect for Kevin to learn. Vince, our hero, zipped past the driveway on his bike.

“Hey, Kev!” Vince called.

“No time for you, my dear brother. I must perfect myself on this thing! No go away so I can do this!” Vince peddled away. Kevin looked at it. He studied how he should get on. A mystery that needs to be solved right now…but how? Kevin pondered on this for a few minutes. Kevin moved toward the bike and slowly put his leg over the frame and he sat uneasy on the seat.

“The seat is kinda hard,” Kevin said to himself. Kevin put a foot on the peddle and pushed forward. The bike started slow then picked up speed. The bike wobbled a little but he caught his balance. Kevin began picking up speed. He had a zany smile on his face. He closed his eyes and felt the cool wind brushing on his face. Kevin shot out of the driveway and crossed the street. A big sickening bang rang across the deserted neighborhood.

Kevin lay still on his bed. His mother sat next to him holding the ice pack on his head.

“You have to be more careful next time, dear,” Mom said. Kevin looked at her. He couldn’t move for the pain was very great. The throbbing in his head didn’t help much. Vince walking into the room definitely didn’t help much.

“Hey dude. Gee, what happened to you?” Vince asked taking a PowerAde out of the refrigerator.

“I ran into a parked car. Now, I have more planning to do. I will rule you!” Kevin closed his eyes. “I’m in pain, my dear brother! One day, you will suffer great.” Vince smiled.

“Yeah? And how will you mange that?” Vince said starting up the stairs.

“Not sure yet,” Kevin said softly.

SCHOOL

What’s the point! School is for wimps! Not future emperors! Oh! She’s hot! Wait! I’m ten years old! Dear Lord! I can’t be thinking about girls! Their icky, Vicky! A smile. I hate it when I make myself laugh…even though it wasn’t that funny. Hey you!....

“Hey you!” Kevin called out to a boy. The boy turned around and looked at Kevin. “I want you to be my right hand man!” The boy looked at Kevin and smiled. And from then on Kevin and this boy we’ll call Benny, became friends. Well, that was easy…and one less thing I have to do to complete my empire.
